Hey guys, so I've recently came back to botting. (Been botting since vanilla) Like I literally just started botting some 4-5 hours before the tripwire event.(Played legit for close to 3 days before this) So pretty sure I'm caught up in all of this right now.

I apologise if this is common sense or it's really obvious but I would love to get some clear clarifications.

Status Update

The new warden scan is capable of detecting any program that is interfering with Diablo 3 and/or Hearthstone. We strongly
recommend not to use any Diablo 3 or Hearthstone tools until they are updated.

Accounts that logged in to Diablo 3 or Hearthstone after 09 Feb 2016 21:05 UTC until the tripwire event (21:37 UTC), and launched
Demonbuddy/Hearthbuddy within that time window might have been flagged by the new scan. We do not suspect accounts that were
already logged in before then to be flagged.

Summarising the above, we do not expect your account to be flagged if you:

were logged in to Diablo 3 or Hearthstone before 21:05 UTC
were logged in to Diablo 3 or Hearthstone after 21:05 UTC, but haven't launched Demonbuddy/Hearthbuddy until the tripwire event

Unfortunately, we still don't have any ETA for new releases and auths to be reopen.

and

Yet another clarification;

Your account is safe if either:
you already had Demonbuddy or Hearthbuddy running before 21:05 UTC and the bot shut down at 21:37 UTC due to tripwire.
you tried to launch Demonbuddy or Hearthbuddy after 21:37 UTC and received Tripwire message.

Your account might be flagged if:
you launched Diablo 3 or Hearthstone and launched Demonbuddy or Hearthbuddy after 21:05 UTC and before 21:37 UTC

I hope this makes it clear for everybody

From these 2 posts in this https://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonbuddy-forum/239454-official-tripwire-event-9-feb-2016-21-52-utc.html. I concluded that I was safe as my D3 as well as DB has already been running since before 21:05 UTC and I am not using any relogger whatsoever.

I later discovered a further reply

We are about to open auths and release new builds while blocking the usage of old ones for Demonbuddy and
Hearthbuddy. Before we do so, we would like to share the findings about the new warden scan with the community.

The new detection method checks for all running applications on your computer and processes the ones that interact
with Diablo 3 or Hearthstone. This means that bots and tools that don't use injection may also be detected. We went
ahead and checked if Turbo Hud and Ros-bot can be detected with the new scan for the sake of the Diablo 3 botting
community.

Unfortunately, the tests for both programs showed that they are both detected by the new scan and it is up to
Blizzard to ban accounts using Ros-bot or Turbo Hud. We are sure that Blizzard knows if you are using them or not
since 21:05 UTC last night.

The new warden scan is still occasionally running, and continues to detect these two tools and possibly more.
We strongly suggest our users to not use any tools for Diablo 3 and Hearthstone until it is made clear by their
developers that the tool is not detected. Developers of other tools should feel free to contact us for more information.

Demonbuddy and Hearthbuddy will be as safe as before with the new releases.

Where.. To the best of my understanding, Blizz definitely knows that I have DB on.

So the clarifications I require are:
1. Am I safe as mentioned in the first 2 quotes or am I fucked as mentioned in the 3rd quote?
2. Am I fucked or am i fucked?

Thanks for taking time to read this awfully long post guys. Appreciate it.

Yea those posts seemed kind of vague to me. Like is this new version of DemonBuddy undetectable right now? Or does this new Warden detect everything right now as we speak, including DemonBuddy, TurboHud, etc. and now we are truly botting in their faces and basically waiting on a banwave? I don't get how they could turn around and release a new version of DemonBuddy in a few hours that completely avoids how this new Warden works. I know the DBuddy team can't release too much info because then Blizz could figure it out too. I just don't get how the new DemonBuddy could be "as safe as before" after only a few hours.

This poster said he has never seen a Diablo 3 tripwire event ever (https://www.thebuddyforum.com/demon...74-tripwire-clarifications.html#post2155242):

Regarding if this is unprecedented or not, I can tell you that I cannot even remember seeing another tripwire event for D3, and I've been botting since RMAH times in vanilla.
Also, the last reported ban ever claimed on these forums were like august 2015, so there's that.

Just wish we could somehow get more information

Hi, Zyntus,

There's really no point in getting hot-n-bothered over this. If you were caught, you were caught. Bliz may or may not take action. D3 isn't exactly an MMORPG with an economy you can put in jeopardy, so things may not be as dire as you think.

We cannot tell you whether or not you are 'safe'. Only Bliz knows.

No offense, but it sounds like you really shouldn't be botting if you are this worried about the event.

cheers,
chinajade

P.S. - the previous Demonbuddy Tripwire event was in July 2014. There were several Tripwire triggers in July and August of that year. These are the posts related to Demonbuddy:

First off, thanks for the swift reply. Really appreciate it.

Hmm, I agree that I shouldn't be bothered with it as well as all the other pointers you've pointed out. Honestly, I had no intention of showing any worry whatsoever. I've had 8 accounts banned in the RMAH vanilla banwave back in the days and it did not stop me. Was merely trying to point out that there were discrepancies between the quotes I have mentioned. Which is also why I named the thread clarifications and not some "is it safe" bullshit.

Nonetheless, thanks for spending the effort to read my post! Have an awesome day!
