IB Need rolls in instances - Does it exist?

I was watching a stream and the guy said IB would roll need on upgrades. I have yet to see this happen on my enh shaman. Is there something I need to configure for this to work? A list perhaps of items that I'd like to roll need on or something.
 
It does roll need. I got bitched at yesterday because it rolled need on a ring with no spirit on it (holy paly)..
 
Yes. My priest rolls on upgrades. Although sometimes it rolls on stupid shit...lol
 
It will roll need, but it will often tell you that no match was found and not roll. Which sucks because I like to rely on dungeons to gear up my bots since they're just grinding most of the time. If I'm at my computer I tell IB not to roll and instead I just click over to wow and roll myself. I think my toons are mostly wearing gear from the helpful bags that you get from random dungeons. Thank the blizz gods for those!

I'd like to know what the logic is for rolls though. Ideally you could just setup a profile saying "Warlock = Intel, Stam, etc" and then Warlocks would look for those stats in that order and then assuming its a piece that could work for you it compares to your current item and rolls accordingly.
 
I was running a dk and a priest tonight and didnt see either roll on anything. I only did 1 run on the priest but atleast 5 on the dk. I watched it roll greed on obvious upgrades. Any suggestions?
 
as far as I know, HB hasn't gotten around their valuation issue that was present after the wow 4.0.1 patch, so IB isn't getting the full picture on whether or not a given drop is needed or not. I had a warrior in Scarlet Monastery roll DE on the Scarlet Leggings, and it was wearing some white leather pants with no stats... Hopefully it will be fixed in the paid version.

I was the only mail wearer in a run and I had green shoulders and it rolled greed on a purple item.
Then later my blue boots and it rolled greed on purple that were a PURE upgrade to mine.

Did you make sure to setup the item weights for your character? I don't know what the built-in weights are, but its possible they aren't applicable to your particular character.
 
I dont know how to set up item weights. Am I supposed to be using an auto-equip plugin to make the rolls work? I dont like to use auto-equip because I like to look at the stats before hand and my outfitter auto equips things so they fight each other.
 
I've seen IB roll need on some items,and seen it roll greed on items I thought it should have rolled need on,but right now I'm not sure I totally trust it,so what I've been doing is just stopping IB at about the 10% mark on boss fights ,and just manually rolling. :)
 
or you can go to options and disable rolling and you roll or get an addon to roll for you
