mage gr 78.webp
1. Disclaimer
I have 2400 paragon and 91lvl of unique gems so I can bot @GR 78. With proper gear and trinity setup you can at least do 70+ very easily.

2. Key points of the BD
The main difference between my DMO botting build and ladder manual build is that I use energy shield rather than ice armor.

Reason: You can't gather as many monsters as when you are manually playing. Ice armor and ice armor ring is very inefficient in botting environment.
The shield bracer is very powerful on the other hand.

So the build is as below. After 100+ or maybe more GR 78 run I'm assure that my build can face tank 2 molten exploding or the Butcher boss perfectly safe.

3. Trinity Setting
No avoidance
Trash min: 10
Trash distance: 60

No elites ignorance
elites distance: 120

thanks zhou, providing some insight for us season folk. I dont think i'll ever hit 2k para this season. but after this i cbf with season. now with augmenting, why would i want to start all over again. even with a bot my brain kinda hurts....

do you like WD or Wizard for GR70+? Also what speed run do you use for TX?

when you say trash distance, do you mean Trash Pack Cluster Radius, or do you mean Ignore Trash further away than?

Even though Mr zhoukaituo has a point and I will definitely try to swap the bracers and armor skill, doing 78s sub paragon 1000 will most likely not be possible. Most of us are missing 7000+ int. Which is quite a lot.

Clearing 70s and getting 100 + bil xp now

thank for the settings

(Force armor is so much better than ice armor )

first of all, thank you for sharing your good tips.

So, you are using Unity instead Alyse ?

if you don't mind could you please upload your trinity setting for us ?(It is really easy to follow your setting by images)

Thank you one more time

I really appreciate.

What's actually kinda sad is that only 78 can be farmed with perfect gear and 2000+ paragon levels. You'd figure those kind of stats would get you into the mid 80's at least.

Hey why are you using Explosive Blast - Unleashed instead of Chained Reaction? I never get orb of infinite depth stack up to 4 using the unleashed rune.

Pretty sure Area dmg outperforms attack speed at higher Greater rifts, why use AS?

mm.. I don't think so. I'm 802 paragon, botting 70's. Averaging 100b exp/hr, no deaths, and about 4-5 games/hour currently.

I still need a few ancients, or better rolled ancients in a few slots.

2300 paragon is gonna allow him to do alot more then most of us but im interested to see his feedback from the questions asked.

I think you missed the point....The dude has 100% perfect gear, has 1200 more paragon levels than you and is doing BARELY higher than what you are. That should be higher than level 78, that should be mid 80's at the very least.

can you or maybe zhou share more detailed trinity settings for this build? im getting no where near 100b/h though im doing 70s too. level wise im high enough since im non season, but i do lack ancient gear as well. screenshots will help a lot. thanks!

1. The highest GR mage botting can reach?

Mmmmmm. I guess it's 80, but please be aware that in GR 80 most bosses if not all are able to ONE-SHOT you, which means they hit me like 2.3M ONE-SHOT. It is not able to solved by combat routine nor gear. I don't think botting 80 could be an efficient way to run, but of course if you leave 300+ keystones I believe that you can pass 80 at long last.

2. Did I changed the Trinity or Combat routine
Nah, the default trinity 2.4.19 is nearly perfect and you don't have to do anything.
The setting are almost default as well I'll post some screenshots when I get home.
Oh, I also run with DB 445 (The newest release as the time I'm typing down this) as well

3. Why Unity?
As I've explained, DB can't make the best use of ice armor(if you have ever watched any manual playing mage videos on youtube you will find that human player can keep at least 10+ or 20+ trashes following them so they are always benefited from ice armor. I don't think db can do it for now.) so Unity is a MUCH MORE STABLE defensive choice. Trust me I've tested over 100+ GR 78s.

4. Why not Area damage?
Same reason, if you have ever watched manual playing mage videos via youtube you will understand why Area Damage is so important for them.
However it doesn't work for DB NOW(may be it works later). But actually my gear has like 40 Area damage :), you can stack it as you like, it doesn't make much difference.

Attack speed allows more survivalbility but it's not a must or something you should stack.
