Hello guys,

I feel like my DMO wizard should be clearing atleast grift 60. It's struggling on 55.
There might be something wrong with my trinity settings. Also, I cubed my triumvirate and am wearing an orb of infinite depth instead of the other way around. I don't know if that is a problem. Any tips?

My DMO Wiz is consistantly clearing gr 66, with 0 deaths (she barely drops any hp at all tbh), in little over half time average.
If you have all the items/skills listed in this guide (and no it does not matter which ring/source you cube and which you wear), with decent rolls you should not struggle at all.
There are my Trinity Combat Settings: 1 2
She gets stuck in white mobs from time to time, but usually just for a few seconds.
Everything else is either standard or does not matter in grs.

Thank you for your reply! I have that exact build. I will try your settings tomorrow as soon as I get home and report back. Might I ask how good your gear is? How many ancients/near perfect rolls?

I seem to be doing 60s easily enough in just over half the time, but it seems pointless to be using triumvirate and aquila as it pretty much spams arcane orb so you are never over 90% resource, and orb is never used at max stacks of the dmg buff.. Am I doing something wrong here or is that just how it is?

Using latest trinity with a fresh install (aka delete old trinity instead of overwriting the files)?
Bc I havn't had that problem since 2.14.14

I started with my Wizard yesterday, did around 100 nephalem rifts, rolled the gear, used the items that I got (no convention, weapon without a socket, no gems, rings with 0 dmg stats) and I cleared 55 rift right away without any effort.
Just gear, skills, go, 55 clear. So you are clearly doing something wrong :P

I've been running the Wand of Woh T10 build in Great Rift 60 and able to clear it on average 3 minutes. Getting like 90 to 140b xp /h.

This only works if you have full ancients and augmented stats to keep in-geom up.

I too have that problem using the latest trinity (2.14.19 I believe.)

Do you happen to know anything about FPS versus DemonBuddy efficiency? My FPS drops to about 10-20 once I start demonbuddy.

Using the standard DMO Wizard builds (http://www.diablofans.com/builds/70759-s5-gr90-solo-arcane-orb or http://www.diablofans.com/builds/69933-quin69-gr88-dmo-wizard-solo) and vaguely decent gear (5 ancients with +250int on each and an ancient weapon) and Paragon 500+ you should be able to easily clear G-Rift 70+ with the following settings in Trinity 2.14.19 (NOTE: Area Damage is REALLY important on gear at this level - more so than CHD and CHC especially on rings)

If you are lower Paragon or less geared (but still have all the required items) then these settings will still clear G-Rift 60+ - you might need to lower the Minimum Trash Mob Pack Size to 5 or 6.

The principle is that you want to group up as many mobs as possible - setting the minimum mobs to 6 or 7 ensures you run past quite a few mobs - who will chase you and eventually catch up when you start to fight a big group. You might get a few stucks on maps with small rooms and lots of doors, but the teleport will get you past those quite quickly. We want to ignore low value rift monsters (that contribute less than 0.1% to your Rift percentage, but we want to always kill mobs which will contribute more than 0.5% - unless they are really high hitpoint mobs - in which case we will ignore them. The thing that took me from Grift 73 to 75 was ticking the Ignore minions - this is incredibly powerful as the bot will focus on the main Champion elite and ignore the other 3 minions around it - when you kill the main Champion you get 4 progression orbs and the bot then runs onto the next group without needing to kill the other 3 high hitpoint, low value minions (awesome routine coding, guys!). Don't forget to set avoidances off or really low (you will still die to molten core no matter what) and teleport at 100% and OOC.

I have been testing the "Always Kill Trash below %" - it is at 30% - this only applies to mobs who meet the other criteria - i.e. are within Trash Pack Cluster Radius, more than 0.1% Rift contribution, so don't be surprised if there are some almost dead trash it runs away from.

@WiN going to test these settings out. Thanks man. I was just running some regular DB Trinity settings and was able to do 70's. Wanted to try this out to see if I could push past further or get some better times. :D Appreciate it!

I have a very well equipped wiz at paragon 821. I tried WiN's settings on a 75 and should have passed, however I got a funky map that kept having naviagtion issues. Kept just standing there saying there were no unvisited nodes, though she had only explored 1/8th of the map.

This helped alot, thank you very much. Rifting 65 now. :)

Seems like you know quite a lot about wizards, so I would like to hear your opinion on a few things.

  1. Do you think DMO wizard is the most powerful solo build for current patch?
  2. VYR Archon Wizard (in solo mode, probably in group too) feels very under powered compared to DMO wizard, do you agree?
  3. What do you think of Twister wizard compared to DMO wizard?

The reason I ask about VYR is because I'm running Vyr Archon in GR55 with the following gear and can't go any higher, when I'll get home I'll try to use your settings. should work too.

Thank you!

Edit: Grammar.

Bc I havn't had that problem since 2.14.14

Running 2.14.19, was before and i deleted and reinstalled it, same issue spamming orb etc.

For now I think I'll swap out aquila because it does literally nothing

And WiN, thanks for the post, helped speed a lot.

Edit: It's not because I'm installing Trinity wrong is it? My friend helped me set up. I went to plugins, deleted trinity, and the pasted in 2.14.19... Sorry for being such a noob :D

Just check your trinity version in DemonBuddy. If it says 2.14.19, you're good. If not, delete the trinity map from plugins and paste in the new trinity map AFTER extracting it

@WiN
Mind sharing your xp/h?
Thanks for the tips btw, helped me polish up my settings
