Been out of the loop, how is Honorbuddy?

I haven't used honorbuddy since the launch of WoD. How is Honorbuddy currently? I am planning on using it just for a combat rotation and occasional levelling.

There have unfortunately been 2 banwaves since March.

In March, approx 100k (plus?) were banned, and later in December a banwave was issued.

Blizzard's stance on bans however has changed (for the better), they now lean towards suspensions rather than permanent terminations of licenses; favouring 6 month suspensions and 18 month suspensions for repeat offenders, respectively.

It's sad to say, but unless you're in it for the business (suicide botting, etc) or for the love of botting then effectively then planning to use HB just for CR and levelling is no longer safe. It's just not viable as it used to be.

The good news is that there's loads of catch up mechanics in game.

That's such a shame :( I guess I'll have to play legit and say goodbye to honorbuddy. I haven't been hit by the ban waves but thanks for your response.
 
use the search option or umm maybe your eyes!!!!! sort ya crap out mate.

That number is so ridiculously far off, it's almost laughable.

A Blizz GM whispered some random player claiming that in upwards of 30k account were banned. Shortly after that number started getting thrown around on these forums, Bossland came to forums and laughed at that comment. He proceeded to say that HB has never had anywhere close to that many accounts botting at once and said it was a complete lie.

So in reality, it was probably much closer to 10k.

Imagine a scenario when you go to log on and you get the message that your account has been banned and the reality is that you will never get to play those characters again. Really think about that scenario and how you would feel. If you would get a pang in your gut and feel devastated at the loss then you should not bot that account (tho to be honest a good ban from WoW can be very liberating as the game can seriously destroy peoples lives).

If a ban is something that dosen't bother you, then bot asap. I'm 24/7 botting on two accounts because I don't cherish them or have any connection to their "accomplishments" or anything they've done. Being fully detached from your characters is the only way to bot.
