I have a weird overlay when I start up honorbuddy

When I turn on honorbuddy and load WoW and get in to the game I get this grey leaf in the center of my WoW screen and some text on the left side in yellow

Not exactly sure if this is what you're talking about but sounds like it might be the Buddy Control Panel. Check your plugins and see if that is running, if it is, disable it and see if it goes away.
