TIPS/FIXES
- CHECK "stash legendary potions" in townrun tab if you want all of the potions, regardless of the rules version you use
- Trinity settings overwrite loot rules (have higher priority) so setup your "Pickup" tab correctly (to loot crafting materials and/or rare/magic/white items). Additionally check "Sell/Salvage All Rares" in "Town Run" tab or open Trinity.xml (your settings file) with N++ and change your armor/weapon/jewelry score to 999999 (search for "score", edit first 3 values)
- I often miss 1 cube item but don't need all the crap from "noob" rules so I copy for example "ancient" and rename it to like "ancient1" and add that 1 item there (in the very begining) or remove "trash" line so any stats will be kept
- You can also loot rare weapons used for Kanai crafting - all are disabled by default, edit pickup.dis to enable what you need (you can enable by removing "//")
- Each time you make changes restart the bot or use "Reload Script Rules" button in "ItemRules" tab or you can also use the same button in the main bot window in "Trinity" tab
- If you experience issues with townrun and scanning items disable logs (advanced Trinity tab)
- If you make LON from scratch and are too lazy to make own rules, check "always stash ancient" in ItemRules tab (it will store them on top of what rules keep)

ANCIENT (1 stash tab filled every 100h+ of botting)
- ancient Puzzle Ring and Bovine Bardiche
- only ancient weapons (from 0 to 2 useful properties, depends on rarity)
- only ancient armor items with good stats (example: at least vitality roll on items like helm chest gloves)
- non-ancient jewelry (very good quad amulets, good rings with orange property, ), which you can change to only ancient by removing "//" (disabled by default)
- only almost perfect legendary potions (chosen few types) + good ancient follower tokens + best follower gear (AS and/or CD on every item)

PRO (1 stash tab filled every 40h of botting, use this if you are still missing support items but have 6/6 set and can still benefit from perf rolled non-ancient armor/weapon/set pieces)
will stash all of the above and:
- Puzzle Ring and Bovine Bardiche
- support items needed for the strongest builds (mostly for cube so any stats will be kept)
- 4-5/6 rolled non-ancient items (3 primary and 1-2 secondary)
- about 1/3 of legendary potions + immortality follower tokens (any stats) + follower gear (Oculus Ring / Overwhelming Desire etc.)

NOOB (1 stash tab filled daily, use this on fresh characters to complete your sets and get all of the required items)
will stash all of the above and:
- tri amulets (ok stats) + quad amulets (any stats)
- all class sets (any stats, no DH/Cru 2sets)
- all useful items for all currently supported builds and the best follower items (any stats, some are there just to feed Kanai Cube)
- all ultra rare items (any stats)
- all legendary potions + immortality follower tokens (any stats) + follower gear (Oculus Ring / Overwhelming Desire etc.)

SUPPORTED BUILDS
** means looting (almost) ANY stats items in noob/pro rules only, every rule will keep good stats and ancient of all the builds.
- If you wish to keep ANY stats items for the build which doesnt have ** then remove "//" next to the required items from inside of the legendary.dis file (noob rules only, on top).
- ZDPS builds are attached in free floating file, just ctrl+v it in the begining of the rule you want to use

All the credits go to people who created Item Rules and Trinity and those who still maintain it.

Code:
Changelog:
All revisions will have specific item rules tightened/loosened, depending on how many of that particular item is being stashed, compared to the rest.

Revision 81:
- Added 2.4.2 items
- Legendary Potions fix

Revision 61:
- Revised stat priority and builds for a new patch

Revision 54:
- Added 2.4.1 items

Revision 50:
- Puzzle Ring and Bovine Bardiche are disabled by default, you can enable by removing "//"

Revision 37:
- Updated ZDPS builds to current meta and they have been removed from all the rules (attached in free floating file, just ctrl+v it in the begining of the rule you want to use)

Revision 34:
- Added Inna EP build
- PRO now keeps items needed for Kanai powers, noob rules stashed too many set items in comparison, I often had 3-4 stash tabs filled and yet, not all support items were found...

Revision 31:
- xxx and xxx2 variations are removed, use Trinity pickup settings to loot crafting materials, it is no longer needed to loot magic/rare/white items (more than enough raw materials drop)

Revision 21:
- fixed (hopefully) all of the typos in item names which caused stashing any stats (they were made by Blizz, not me!)
- uncommented most of the orange legs that are not used in any of FOTM build (Blizz adds new items for new builds anyway, it rarely pays off to keep those "just in case")
- sorted noob rules by builds (and added class markers for quick search)

Revision 18:
- added ZDPS builds

Revision 14:
- added LON builds

Revision 11:
- updated for 2.4

Revision 5:
- added static charge support

Attributes explained:
https://www.thebuddyforum.com/demon...rinity/100470-guide-item-rules-2-trinity.html

* Over 2000 lines of code! I spent dozens of hours writing them and I'm constantly testing + improving so check back often for updates
* Install Notepad++ to view and edit the rules (mainly legendary.dis)
* Core code is the same in all 3 versions of my rules, only the first 200-300 lines differ
* All rules will keep all currently the best items but also the items that may become useful in the future patch
* All rules will keep the most useful crafts (Hellfire, Reaper, Sets etc.) so you can craft full inventory of items and let the bot decide what to keep!
* All rules will keep the best follower gear
* I add new items on a day when official patch notes are released and even if I don't, no new item will be trashed because each item has its own [trash] line. This also means bot will stash any version of the item if there is a typo in its name or Blizzard decides to change the name (which lately they do for a few items every patch)
* Endgame builds change so often that I can't guarantee that it has every useful item added so please browse the rules before using them to make sure and if you notice any error, please post about it in the topic
* Limitations of the item rules:
- I didn't separate rules by class so barb will also keep wizard items (1 item for every 50-75 stashed)
- No %skill dmg is supported so you will miss out some good helms/chests/shoulders/boots
- no %dmg on weapon is supported so you will have to manually trash many ancient weapons before finding perfect one
- Eun-Jang-Do and In-Geom are not detectable
- Auto-extract Kanai Powers with Trinity may not work

HOW TO ENABLE RULES
1) Edit pickup tab in Trinity and choose "File Based Script Rules" from the dropdown menu, you can also specify what to pickup here (it will override rules written in the loot rules)

2) Go to the "ItemRules" tab and change "Use Rule Set" to "Custom* RTFM!" then specify "Optional Custom Item Rule Set Path" to wherever you downloaded it

Thanks!

There has been a lot of outcry from the forum and lots of threads started about items. Speaking for WD community out there, we need Arachyr's/Manajuma's Set for speed runs and possibly Taskers/MaskOfJeram for DB runs (Still testing that last setup).

Here are more BiS items based on usage across the DB universe: http://diablo.somepage.com/popular/items

I prefer ItemList as it's easier to modify once imported due to the built-in GUI. It also gives people a visual reference so when they aren't finding certain items, they aren't questioning the list.

The biggest shortcoming of ItemList, however, is that you HAVE TO remember to click a different tab when closing the trinity config window, otherwise next time you open it, there is a 5-10 second delay while it loads all of the items. In terms of that, the item rules might be a better option.

I prefer ItemList

I didn't try ItemList since release of Trinity 3.0 earlier this season (when ItemRules were removed all together) so this might have been improved since but:
- unless all you need is noob version of the rules, it takes a few hours to configure them properly (cant make 1 amulet preset, have to do 20 amulets 1 by 1, big waste of time when for example itemization may change all of the helms priorities with 1 patch. ItemRules can do that with 1 click in N++)
- no item variations, cant keep perfectly rolled non-ancient and ok ancient, u need to choose or stash a lot of crap, this is especially bad for amulets, you can set quad amulet sure, but how about socket+cc+cd+ancient? This is still considered the best for many builds
- no dex int str, one atri for all, some items are useless if they drop with int (example: Freeze of Deflection, templar bis shield)
- many attributes are missing, I often set some of the popular items and sets down to secondary like reduced melee damage or single resistance
There were more issues but these are of top of my head.

I like innovation but Item bots were made over a decade ago and nobody made anything better than file text rules yet, why improve something that works perfectly fine as it is? Sure this isnt noob friendly and impatient kids cant take 15min to understand it but I hope bots wont go the same route games did, become noob-friendly at the expense of the quality and rewards for people who are willing to invest their time in it.
That said it is great for quick Kanai orange power extraction as you can preview the special ability instantly, without googling every item. Thats the only thing I use it for.

p.s. I use top rated Diablofans builds but also add items that I consider "may be useful some day".

thx for sharing, testing atm the ancient one...using some mods for picking up only death's breath instead of both yellow mats...(trinity settings material yellow), and non-ancient for templar follower item

pro version i should use if i'm not ancient in every slot or if i wanna farm stuff for other classes?

is this enough for keeping this items?

[QUALITY] == "Legendary" && [NAME] == "Flying Dragon"

or need i -> [KEEP] behind?

you would think it keeps focus and restraint ring with pretty sick stats on pro2 settings. JOKES ON YOU.

guys... dont use this. its shit and a waste of time. this guy clearly has no clue what he is "coding". save yourself some troubles and do the sorting 1x each day per hand because this shit sucks massive.....

How do you apply the pro/ancient/noob rules, by specifying path to that specific folder? Is anyone else having problems picking up the orbs after killing elite packs when using this?

Can you add support for Static monk? Much appreciated =)

Items are almost exactly the same as Fire Shenlong Monk but I will add it in the future revision.

you don't need "-> [KEEP]"

This is literally 13th line in the rules and takes 2sec to edit out, stop being lazy?

my bot fills the stash with rare items. any idea why ?
Because Trinity settings overwrite rules, I posted a fix on top of my first post.

And how can i edit item rules? it dosnt pickup materials.

Use Trinity settings for that.

anyone got good exp with these rules, i'm interested in pro/ancient ones since i only need to maximize my anicnet gear like some %...got all items like so close to perfect rolled

I plan to release ELITE rules that will keep only close to perfect items (down to secondary attributes), tight enough to keep only a handful of items per 100h of botting. Of course they will not be for free but you can also tighten them up yourself using my core code :)
