haha really odd... tried normal build... fail... beta build fail... back to normal.. fail.

Loaded beta again with crusader (have not used him before... shouldn't matter though I know...) and not its working... really wierd...

Thanks for the DNS alternative though!

I fix this by add two lines in the "hosts" file, you can find this file at this path : "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc"
Then add the followed two lines at the bottom of this file.

192.99.20.72 auth.buddyauths.com
51.254.37.101 dbnav.buddyauths.com

Finally,restart DB.

The change just using the Nav server in UK, may be the Asian one is down.

works for me also

Thanks this fixed it.

Ping dbnav.buddyauths.com and it should return 51.254.37.101 as a result... if not you did it wrong.

Worked like a charm!

For anyone on Windows 10, or 7/8 having trouble saving the changes to the Host's file or who aren't exactly sure how to edit it:

Click start > type Notepad > right click Notepad and choose "Run as Administrator" > Click File, Open, and navigate to the directory given > Make the appropriate changes and click File, Save.

It won't even let me edit the file. This shouldn't be necessary if you people were actually monitoring things such as you should be. Give us all a refund.

Go back a page and read my post about editing with administrative rights, it's really not difficult. And you can monitor things 24/7, that doesn't mean they'll never encounter errors. However, if you're really that dissatisfied with the Buddy Team's support and service, I'm sure they'd be happy to give you a refund and terminate your subscription if you were to go through the appropriate steps.

I am not seeing a \etc folder at that location using Win 10

Try this -
START | locate cmd prompt (Admin) or type cmd.exe into the start search box | right-click on cmd.exe | select run as administrator | type the following -

Code:

cd %windir%\system32\drivers\etc

dir /a /s

Do you see the HOSTS file?

Also Have you tried:

When you are in %windir%\System32\dirvers manually click the address bar and add on the \etc to the folder path.
