Do you top the meters in raids?

Fill in the gaps. Yes i top the meters on my <insert class> using <insert combat routine>
 
On my destro warlock, I specced affliction for kazzak yesterday and I am ilvl 691 and I was ranked 3rd out of 40.
 
I am normally in the top 6 and depending on the boss, I can be 1st or 6th ... BM Hunter // Tuanha
 
What fight? There are a lot of diferent enviroments on PvE... sometimes you have a single target fight... fights with adds spawning on a certain amount of time and die fast... others that spawn adds that last longe... etc... on every scenario a class/spec can perform better than others... so you can't simply ask "do you top meters?".
 
my Disc priest is scary good and tops healing meters in BG's,even with crappy gear around Ilv 600 makes me a bit nervous actually ..
 
On my warlock I consistently topped my guilds meters with Millz's routine. With my warrior I compete with the other warrior in the guild, beating him 50% of the time, but he has legendary ring and I don't.

P.s. You don't top meters using routines as default, you have to tailor them to specific fights.
 
696er Destro Warlock with Millz Demonic always in the Top 5 ;-)

I agree. However there are some genuinely amazing written routines and some bad ones. I am trying to identify quality and mediocrity.
 
Depending on gear i'm normally up the top. sometimes I might be second or 3rd if someone else has full epic's

Most people say since 6.2 affi would be better but i love the destro play style ;-)

I think that is why there is a trial function. I tried out all the paladin routines before I bought the one that performed the best.
 
Max do you do anything to customize the routine or just plug and play? I am certain people would like to know how to push top meters and the method you use to do so. As for me ive been in heroic raids and can push 40-50k dps but when you are heroic geared you need to be pushing 60 plus thats including 4 piece and maybe heroic rings/trinks or the legendary
 
Sorry i left out i use tuanha's routines for the most part dont ever use the free routines they suck bad. And paw's routine for my ferial druid,. and i just plug and play never going over 15 fps to allow the cr to funtion normally. I would however like to see a faster routine that can handle more fps and more dps.

What if you want to make a new character based on an outstanding routine?

edit: what if a routine is solid but the class is underperforming balance wise?
