Case and point, Now only paying customers can use DB thus helping his business overall and another post was stated sales increased.

10% of sales was an assumption considering D3 barely pushes 2 million people active online.

All of you are use to customer service or rather someone to complain to so they can explain to you a nice explanation of bullshit to ease ur mind lol

O well, I been around long enough here not on DB but also HB to know that if it doesnt work, you wait. (and they extend time on non life timers i do believe also, you could consider this customer compensation)

BOSSLAND / DEV TEAM / PROFILE / PLUGIN Creators <3 :o

1. BOSSLAND and Dev Team work hard and do not give a shit about anyone else who has a negative attitude or comments

2. They get paid for their hard work not only on DB but others such as:
- HONORBUDDY
- Exilebuddy
- Rebornbuddy
- Hearthbuddy
- Tankleader
- Buddywing
- Wildbuddy
- Stormbuddy
And finally Demonbuddy

None of you actually swap shoes, if you had a bunch of people who paid a small amount of money for a HUGE fucking service on a "Video game" but then act like a DISABLED BITCH all the time you would respond like he does also.

If you worked on something for 2 days Straight, Came to the forums and see how people act here

Would you be hurt?
Discouraged to work on things further?
Become lazy and delay work for just simply angry prob 10% amount of total business paying customers?

People have their heads up their asses and Demonbuddy should Cut its plug ins into Payed Store like Honorbuddy and a lot of these little cunts will dissappear

Protect your Business and Servers + NAV/Streaming data, Fuck everyone else

Disabled Bitches

While the language and the degrading isn't necessary or wanted I have to say that I agree that there are some people that need to learn how to fix stuff or know where to go to find real help.

Once upon a time I tried to make some decent profiles or forks of existing profile for DB back in the day when all we had was the ability to run non-random maps and the only thing people cared about was gold per hour. It was cool when people that knew how to use the basic functions of the bot would come in and point out some errors or pictures of a stuck bot. But then there are people who come in, take what you've done and say, "It doesn't work fix it." And then suddenly you are tech support for everything DB related because they happen to use something you made. Doesn't matter if it's combat, movement, or there is an interaction issue, they expect you to fix it. The Buddy community in general is not very nice to anyone that develops as a part of the Buddy team or on their own.

I am not a coder, I don't pretend I know how to code the majority of the things that are apart of DB, I am however a person that is will to try to figure things out on my own. I applied logic and some trial and error to learn some basic things. I wish more people would try instead of sending me PMs telling me that MonkCombat.CS for I posted for a quick/dirty "fix" for Trinity 2.13 so it will use Ulianas spec better doesn't work with Trinity 3.0, despite the fact that I explicitly said it is for 2.13.

I understand why Bossland did it, it sucks that it had to be done but that is the world we live in.

This seems to have generated a lot of heat and little light.

We are faced with a simple choice - stop Demonbuddy or add DRM. Its unfortunate the patch that allowed us to do this came at a time when we had staff on vacation and we regret that. We think its mostly fixed and hope you can bear with us.

Meanwhile, sorry.

The purpose of this whole thread is to help people let some steam out, meanwhile we are on all the issues that came up.

if you have not reallized it by now, it is too late now.

I support you guys, and your products. I legitimately purchased 3 lifetime DB 3 session keys when DB first came out, and a couple of more with the buddycoin thing (whatever happened to that??) but I am really having my doubts as to whether this is even feasible. The NAV server thing was tried two years back and it was a complete disaster then. It looks like the same thing all over again now. I realize you guys are only trying to protect your intellectual property, but I think this will actually have the opposite effect, and drive the legitimate users to use the c-r-a-c-k-e-d versions just like it did the first time round.

Then you know, that if it does not work, it will not be added. We are not some idiots that try forcefully to add something in the software that will never work. If it does not work, it gets removed pretty fast.

There are other ways, A client side authentication via downloaded injectable on a per session basis would be much better.

I just want to drop in here and add that we're working on resolving issues our customers are having with the new version of the software with our entire team. We're all putting in 16 hours per day if not more to get matters resolved as fast as possible and to get you guys the smooth ride that you paid for.

Until we get there, please bear with us. Thanks.

Oo

So the bot didn´t work at all and now this fu..in patch to ...
Thank god this hot blonde was in the gym today or i would be really pissed now.

I just have to ask, stop demonbuddy why? Because at the moment is not as profitable as HB? D3 Vanilla sold over 16 to 18m copies back in the days, then there was auction house, I remember demonbuddy was the holy grail of d3 botting. Many botters bragged that they made a fortune by runing 800 bots simultaneously. Lets face it, even if 1/5 of those sold d3 copies were bot acc's, you also made a fortune of this bot. We talking millions of $$$. Back in the days there were no *****s, or at least none that i know of, people were purchasing to use, because that was the only way. So my point is, how those money you earned back then which were a lot(minimum 20m $), are not enough to continue support of the bot today? So you must put the most hated system in your products "DRM"? I am legit HB user since 2012, bought it cause I wanted to support this company, thought about buying DB too, but nowadays seems doomed purchase.

TL;DR
How product that made you milions turns out that cant make enough money to support itself, when the bot is developed mostly by community itself? Dont tell me its *****ers fault.

they already said they are sorry and they are working hard to fix the problems, what more you want from them? Have some empathy and chill the fuck down.

Since this thread seems to be getting some attention from the staff, I will hijack it real quick. It's not a complaint at all, I am just curious.

Do you guys think this Lifetime license is a viable business strategy? I think it imposes an expiration date to the whole thing. It is natural that the amount of income decreases with time, just like the amount of copies of Diablo purchased from blizzard and new players does, and sooner or later it won't be worthwhile to keep it running anymore. D3 seasons and patches should boost your public a little, but these are mostly old players returning to the game.

I think that it applies to any business, really.

ELI5: It is like buying a car from a company that guarantees you the right to upgrade your vehicle whenever there is a new model for the rest of your life. At first you will make a shameful amount of money, but after everyone interested has already bought it, you will find yourself with a serious negative cash flow.

tl;dr: I am curious as to what was the motivation behind this business model and if you don't think it would be more advantageous to rethink its state. Maybe focusing on the adoption of a more aggressive subscription model and removal of lifetime licenses ( not those already bought, for obvious reasons ), implementation of DB Store, following the same model of HB (I, personally, spent many times the cost of the licenses i have for HB in the store, and did it so happily) or something along those lines.

Millions? You think I sit here on a splendiferous yacht quaffing vintage champagne from ancient crystal goblets bought by my millions? You think replying to posts such as yours is the usual pastime for multi-millionaires?

Get real.

Yes - if we can't sell lifetimes, its because the game has lost users and the farmers also move on. Call us the canary in the goldmine.

It's an interesting play, when many companies are going in the other direction (adobe creative cloud comes to mind). I'm a recent purchaser (yesterday), and honestly I was a little surprised that there was even a lifetime option.

This is the type of post that should have been at the forefront of this entire thread. Kudos to you Aevitas.

Isn't the same thing happening with HB, albeit with less intensity? For all I know the user base from WoW is shrinking with each year, and even though that game still provides the possibility for professional gold farming, one can argue that even professional botters may stop acquiring new lifetime licenses. I don't know exactly how you dealt with this issue there, but couldn't something similar be applied to DB? I don't have near enough data to state any of this as fact, these are just suppositions. (Just to reiterate, nothing related to DRM or whatever. Not a complaint.)

It seems antithetic to create a game ***** engine that uses DRM and just not the smartest move to make it involve piecemealing out our navigation but I understand you have to make a profit and so be it. I'll hold on and see how that profit benefits me as in shorter downtime on patches and a more consistently working product in general as well. TBH the learning curve for making your products worthwhile productive is a real bitch and so although I personally don't have the vision to be able to see this working out - I look forward to the hope of it making my Bossland user experience more fruitful and enjoyable.

Thanks for all the feedback BuddyCrew.

For everyone else, I have been following the forum for some time now. Today I had the "heated" posts open so I could watch the whole thing play out. Although I also have my opinions about how stuff could be better I started to realize something. From what I see, most of us are forgetting that they are in fact an indie company. The way they handle problems in for example the support section feels really open. Everyone responds positive to this personal style.

They take personal care into giving us the service we need. Most eye's of people here today are open to the positive parts when everything is working, like in this example the personal service they bring us year after year. You prefer having a personal touch, a feel that you are cared about. That being said, the moment something goes wrong, these eye's shut. Salty behavior is justified by comparing this company with others, idea's how stuff should work and all sorts of negative behavior just so you people, get want you want, when you want it.

This explains the negative replies in this post, the "closed eyed" people do not want to see a casual post like there always has been. They rather see a post that tells them how bad the buddy crew feels about their "mistake" and how "sorry" they are. Well, they probably feel bad this happened. But once again, they do there best for us and if all they can get is moaning when something goes wrong.. I wouldn't care to much about the people that are. Which I think is happening now :) Who are we to judge a company based on one mistake. If you feel things could go better, make a forum thread with feedback.

I got my level 70 in about 2-3 hours. Even got my second account boosted by my friend which took 20 minutes. So just act like a normal human being, empathize, relax, enjoy the actual game (this new season is great) and wait till you can use it again. I hope people understand what I am saying as I am not the best writer.

Keep up the good work!
