Hi, i was just wondering, if i bot 24/7 infernal keys on a suicide account, can i get my main account banned ?

My plan was to farm keys on a bot (same IP, different computer, different account name) then open portals / kill ubers and get the mats to craft hellfire amulets on my main.

Is that risky ?

I've never bot on my main acc.

Any one has tried this kind of scenario ?

Thanks. :)

generally they ban all accounts attached to the IP, so most likely your main will get banned to.

I am currently doing this... I was going to go through a vpn.. but got lazy... I guess it's too late to do the vpn route now, huh?

Its senseless to ban everything which is attached to the IP because its also possible that you live with anyone together who also is playing diablo

IP based banning is impossible, what about an internet cafe??? 24/7 botting and account interactions are what get you.

well i have heard of them banning all accts associated with the same ip its all over the ban forums of ppl complaining that there legit accts were banned and they never botted on them

No, they investigate if all accounts are linked. If they're, they get rekt.
An internet cafe is different, they may have the same IP but not the same Mac Address. and since business infos are sort of public, you get the IP, subISP, ISP gives you the info that it's a business, which kind? internet cafe... well, you get it.

ISP's don't give out personal information about anyone without a court order.

Man, I can't believe people are still spreading this. I used to bot 30+ accounts when RMAH was still viable. I played on my "main" account throughout the duration - all coming from the same machine as 10 of those bots. I still play on that account to this day.(survived MULTIPLE ban waves)
