Honor Buddy error/problems when i open

When i open honor buddy it says

You have not selected a valid instance of WoW to attach to!
Please restart Honorbuddy and choose a valid WoW instance to use Honorbuddy.
-------------------------------

when i put in my details and sign in a pop up will come up and it says

Honor buddy has encounterd a problem we are sorry for the inconveinence, bla bla ignore this error and attempt to continue,

once ive typed in my details as i normaly should when i click on start it just does nothing

please help me sirs

do you have .net 3.5 installed and turned on?
using d3d9?

hb runs on .net 3.5 sp1 ... search it on microsoft.com

well when you downloaded hb there is a quote with red text in the thread that tells you how to see if you're using d3d9

make sure you're running wow in windowed mode
run hb.exe as admin (right click --> run as administrator)
using d3d9 (first post of official hb thread)
make sure hb is clear to run if you have a firewall(s) enabled
