Full disclosure: I have no arena only crs, but as a member of the community, I have to say, it is wrong to take their money and not at the very least offer buddy store credit for those effected. This makes future store purchases way to much of a risky proposition otherwise. Some of those profiles cost more then a whole new upgraded wow account. Its just wrong to through those customers under the buss like that.

Fairly sure it has been stated clearly and officially honorbuddy offers zero support for arena what so ever. People buying those CR's were taking a gigantic risk to begin with, and I doubt credits will be applied for not being able to use something they were not even supported to use in the first place. They could be feeling nice, though.. who knows.
 
Risk of being banned yeah sure, we're botting i accept that. Risk of bot authors taking out functionality, yeah no one was really expecting that.

I had my crs gifted to me (as I had bought them all before they were on the buddy store, gladiator suite that is) I do agree though, those that bought pvp only crs should have the OPTION for a refund or store credit on those. Lets not play dumb and act like arenas wasnt the selling point of those crs, everyone knows they only bought them for arenas.It is called GLADIATOR suite afterall:p (small % may have bought them for only but yeah rbgs)

I'm surprised it was not disabled and foreseen as too major of a risk earlier.. personally.
 
I understand how some people will be annoyed with the removal of HB functions in arenas, but I have seen it stated many times on these forums that HB does not support arenas and never will.
 
I'm pretty sure honorbuddy has made a statement on Arenas a long time ago. I believe they said it was never intended for it to be used on Arenas or anything that is ranked. Do you not think after blizzard sees how many top ranked people got banned for botting theyre not going to watch that shit like crazy now?
 
DW guys, see this as an opportunity. Keep an eye out in the near future, as some other Devs are picking up the slack where HB is now letting go. It might require a subscription, but there might be an option for free accounts for people that have all ready purchased CR's. I support HB with their decision, even this means they are moving more to the 'center' of honest gaming :P. Happy hunting.

Do you really think blizzard won't attempt to ban or make your life a horrible nightmare if someone made an arena bot?

If I was to release one it would be expensive and cost for each character name you want me to add for authorization.

Yes they do, if you look into the arena section of their forums you will see

"Kick botter" "Instant kicker" etc, Arena is blizzard's playground. You don't mess with it ever

Bossland never "messed" around with arena !
They allowed the same routines you use anywhere, in arena. O wait, they made a buddy store and only LET YOU use
PAID routines in arena. So where did HE mess around with it there?

Disable the full functionality of afking in dungeons and bg's and i would get his point.

now its just a retarded decision that will kill this bot in the long run. He knows it, but is prolly compensated a lot to do so.

Raiders not affected, dungeon buddy not removed.

Funny how you think like blizz. Fck pvp and hail pve.

Its just a shame, you feel the heat and u cant figure out where its coming from. So you remove the whole aspect.

I just don't understand why anyone would bot in the arena. Where's the fun or skill in beating someone when it's not a fair fight - there is none, it's pretty sad really.
No wonder normal players get mad about it.

u cheat, no matter what u use. whats the fun in that then... right.. cheating.

you are not better then any other cause you just use it for your weekly farm or raid.

you start the program and are therefor no better then anyone else.

Pretty funny what this PVE CR developer is saying. Have you even take a look into the PVE/Dungeon section of their forum? There are as many complaits if not more about bots in that section.
If Bossland is going to close down the features of the bot compared to how many complaits they are getting you might aswell just fucking shut down the bot today.

I use the bot to do the mundane stuff I don't enjoy - Garrison, levelling etc. I personally would never use a CR in a raid - that's the fun part of it. Where's the fun in letting the bot do the skilful bits, there is none.
But that being said, cheating in PvE isn't directly ruining another players game, PvP it is, it's that simple.

yeah man it's like why would you bot gold farming its like you didn't even earn that gold who would want it. or like this one guy i know he bots in mythic raids and he gets gear from it but like he totally didn't earn that gear so why even wear it. i don't know why anyone would use a cheating tool to gain an unfair advantage over people.
