Sadly you are right but when I found out some of my guildies got banned I was like damn my plans just totally cleared up for the summer lol
I've been playing WoW for longer than I care to remember...It wouldnt hurt my feelings to bad to get a 6th month vacation and a possible increase in my sex life.
Good luck to everyone else though...Lets see what happens and hopefully Bossland will give us the go ahead to start botting again soon
 
10 years of WoW and finally it feels like a strange sense of relief haha.

I've accumulated all kinds of shit from this game from rare as title, rare as transmogs, rare as achievements etc etc the list goes on. When I got the ban notification I thought I would be feeling much more upset about this and instinctively I got in contact with sephirofl to see what we can do to organize a good appeal since the guy is known as a god of getting appeals through.

After sitting down and really thinking about hard about it. I began to wonder though. What is really there for me on WoW?

What kept me going all these years? Blizzard has made promises that they'll have a polished expansion for us each year but have we ever seen them keep their god damn promises? When I think back on it I should have logically quit and sold my account when the announcement of the great Pandafucking expansions came out. Blizzard promised that the game will be less grindy especially when it comes to Rep grinds but have a look at the Panda expansion, now take a look at WoD especially the great fucking grind waiting for you in everbloom wilderness massacre.

Has pvp been balanced yet? no not really? Have I petitioned for this every single year yes but has anything been done about it?

Looking back on it I've just been playing this game not because their contents were amazing but due to the few friends who still play the game. WoW is becoming a solo friendly game, there is no party element to it now unless you actively seek out for it. Hell, you can play the game and level from 1 to 100 without ever talking to anyone. Then we have the great garrisonville where you sit there and send npcs to play the game for you.

All these grindy shit and unnecessarily complicated mechanics in our rotations they've implemented over the years. Makes me wonder how I would have survived playing this game if I hadn't picked up Honorbuddy when I did. I more or less had enough of the grindy shit they make you play through. Honorbuddy in that respect filled the void that Blizzard ignored for years. Honorbuddy made this game somewhat tolerable and I felt that I could "godforbid" believe for a second there that I might even enjoy WoW again lololol.

After the banwave I feel free. I think that's the best way to describe it. Now I can permanently push this shit game aside and move onto better games out there that I didn't even bother trying out in all earnest. Thank you Honorbuddy for making this game somewhat tolerable all these years. I'm not angry about losing the account (albeit it's only for 6 months) but on the other hand I'm not angry for the vacation from WoW since I really needed it.

I do wish you all the best of luck to fuck with Blizzard in the next court hearing and I pray one day someone will hire a hitman on Holinka for being a shit pvp developer.

Honestly I'm not even upset. I had a blast watching the bot work :) I have a few other accounts I can always fire up if I get bored, but for now I'm happy I had a few months back.

My main and only account, 16 toons, 6 decked out 100's, the rest 90's still.....banned for 6 months. Really disappointed in the HB team. And that is the first time I have ever said that.

Official statement in the ban subforum was a very nice and much appreciated touch of class. :)

I am with Razor that I wouldn't have played or enjoyed this game over the last few years were it not for HB. If I get banned, that will be sad, but if HB isn't around for a while I wouldn't have played anyway.

This program and this community have inspired me in many ways. Reading about the guy who got a programming job simply by showing his prospective boss an HB addon got me into programming. I'm happily going to be changing careers soon thanks to reading about that.

All the info on how the fine people at HB reverse engineer so much of the game and have such amazing skills only pushed my desire to educate myself even further.

Thanks to everyone! Hope you don't give up the fight to improve the quality of life of gamers everywhere, be they disabled, injured, or flat out lazy.

Yeah I'm having no trouble seeing the bright side either... Just getting back to a big project I'll have to put A LOT of time into, and WoW was actually giving me a little worry since even botting DOES take quite a while... 6 months sounds about right :)
 
At long last. You are just lucky it's 6 months... it should have been permanent account delete.
But I'm still glad that many of you will quit wow now because of it, less bots in the future. gl tho haha

Honestly HonorBuddy was the only reason I still had a sub. Good riddance WoW. You were so boring the only thing that kept me playing was automating the mundane tasks.
 
Time to uninstall Wow and play a new game. CoD prolly. Or something kewl I've never tried b4. See ya around HB. Hope you can fix your broken bot. It was a lot of fun for sure, while it lasted.

Grow up dude. Just like in life, you took a calculated risk and got burned. What'd you think HB was invincible? Rub some fucking dirt on it and walk it off.
 
It's pretty clear why the temp close the accounts. They can still claim subs for those accounts as they are technically not perma banned. Next Blizzard board meeting is going to have a a lot of lies!
I think they underestimate how many people are botting and the fact that it's partially botting gameplay that still allows for some players to actually enjoy game play.
 
I'm actually quite interested in the next couple of weeks and seeing what the HB staff comes up with. Did anyone using HB not get banned? Did Blizzard take a huge risk, say screw it, and pull another situation where they monitored external processes over the past few months in an attempt to wipe out every HB user? If so, that goes against legal standings that they were found guilty of years ago. If HB can somehow prove that, will they take them back to court?

its weird im not banned atm but when i bot on alliance im fine as soon i start botting on horde my account get banned afther a day lol D i gues i have to play only dps classes from now and start using my razer blackwidow chroma keyboard and razer mouse to make 1 shot rotation macro in perfect order:)

Yes and yes! I really love how botting helps some ppl in a lot of ways.
Mostly, programming.
