This issue is actually starting to annoy the frack out of me, and it appears the admins here are a little lost.

What basically happens is I play wow, startup honorbuddy and am able to play fine. However, say I close the bot and open the bot or switch classes or something that requires a bot restart. The bot will just get stuck on the initializing part. I have posted about this multiple times in the past.

The ONLY way I can fix this is to change my internet connection to my backup internet. Then it works flawlessly. If I change back to my primary internet, all of a sudden honorbuddy stops working again.

At first I thought it might be my ISP routing issue or a DNS issue so I had that checked out. My ISP informs me that its the honorbuddy server that is blocking me.

Since I use OVH a lot, I know the issues that can creep in if you have the ddos firewall switched on the whole time. You get false positives. I honestly believe that your firewall is blocking legitimate connections.

If I use my primary internet connection I am unable to connect (for about 24 hours after I get blocked):

Honorbuddy.exe 3312 TCP 192.168.1.6 51246 ns212318.ovh.net http ESTABLISHED
Honorbuddy.exe 3312 TCP 192.168.1.6 51259 ns431530.ip-37-187-151.eu 5031 ESTABLISHED 3 751 5 13,417

If I use my backup internet connection now I can connect (it never gets blocked):
Honorbuddy.exe 6200 TCP b0xy 51110 188.165.224.162 http ESTABLISHED 1 100 1 258
Honorbuddy.exe 6200 TCP b0xy 51119 69.50.200.217 5001 ESTABLISHED 1 68 1 3

I understand the guys here are programmers and my personal experience as a sysadmin is that sometimes programmers are not the best networking specialists. I really think there is an issue here that should be looked into by a qualified person. Something on your side is definitely blocking connections.

if this were so, wouldnt it affect all users?

maybe instead of guessing, you may want to post a log. maybe list a few of the programs you are using so developers can help you better.

we accept the fact you have an extensive background in networking as a sysadmin and we know you realize the benefit in logs. who wouldnt with an extensive background in networking.

work with the buddy staff to resolve your issue. if they feel comfortable asking for a log, you should feel comfortable posting one. Thanks for reporting this issue and providing your supporting logs.

No need to be all passive aggresive.

Its the same log as I posted here:
https://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/honorbuddy-support/210644-dns-firewalling-issue.html

and here:

I know this doesnt effect everyone, but there are bunch of people with the same issue that Ive seen in this forum. Perhaps it discriminates based on geolocation or something. I dont know. Its very frustrating.

we would need the log posted here.

yes of course we have those protections on all the time, because we're ALWAYS getting slammed by people who dont like us. thats why we pay for the best hosting and the best protection available.

post a log and we can see about getting someone to look into it, but even people running 20+ sessions arent having a problem like your describing.

The logs wont make a difference, Ive posted them many more times, but just incase.... Ive uploaded them again.

If I use proxycap (a proxy application) and force honorbuddy to use it, I am able to use honorbuddy. So its definitely something to do with my main ISPs IP being blocked. Perhaps we can whitelist its range or something?

Im seriously not making this issue up. I really wish it would go away :/ Perhaps you guys can take my IP to OVH and get them to check the firewall or something?

i have the same issue many times honorbuddy stops working witch is weird

Will test after this game, right now Im using a proxy to connect.
