This issue is actually starting to annoy the frack out of me, and it appears the admins here are a little lost.
What basically happens is I play wow, startup honorbuddy and am able to play fine. However, say I close the bot and open the bot or switch classes or something that requires a bot restart. The bot will just get stuck on the initializing part. I have posted about this multiple times in the past.
The ONLY way I can fix this is to change my internet connection to my backup internet. Then it works flawlessly. If I change back to my primary internet, all of a sudden honorbuddy stops working again.
At first I thought it might be my ISP routing issue or a DNS issue so I had that checked out. My ISP informs me that its the honorbuddy server that is blocking me.
Since I use OVH a lot, I know the issues that can creep in if you have the ddos firewall switched on the whole time. You get false positives. I honestly believe that your firewall is blocking legitimate connections.
If I use my primary internet connection I am unable to connect (for about 24 hours after I get blocked):
Honorbuddy.exe 3312 TCP 192.168.1.6 51246 ns212318.ovh.net http ESTABLISHED
Honorbuddy.exe 3312 TCP 192.168.1.6 51259 ns431530.ip-37-187-151.eu 5031 ESTABLISHED 3 751 5 13,417
If I use my backup internet connection now I can connect (it never gets blocked):
Honorbuddy.exe 6200 TCP b0xy 51110 188.165.224.162 http ESTABLISHED 1 100 1 258
Honorbuddy.exe 6200 TCP b0xy 51119 69.50.200.217 5001 ESTABLISHED 1 68 1 3
I understand the guys here are programmers and my personal experience as a sysadmin is that sometimes programmers are not the best networking specialists. I really think there is an issue here that should be looked into by a qualified person. Something on your side is definitely blocking connections.
