Official: Blizzard WoW Token, legit gold buying

Even if they are selling gold for more than the cost of 3rd party people will still do it, because there is 0 chance of ban, of course the odds of buying gold from a third party is close to 0, you also dont have to worry about getting ripped off. So if people are buying gold now at $82 for 100k why would blizz sell it for 19.99? They already knows it will sell for that. At 25k that is about the same rate, no bans, no ripped off. So why would they undercut themselves, seems kinda stupid to me. We also know this will move gold like no other. If it was 100k that means websites will only sell gold, they have no need for a middle man, that means no one here will be making money anymore. I dont see that happening.
 
think about it.... if you and i are in business and we sell 100k for $100. well blizz comes along and sells it for $19.99. you think people are going to buy from us anymore? Nope. that is their purpose to undercut these Third-party sites so no one will buy from them. Blizz doesn't need gold , they can conjure it out of thin air. pooof...........

A botter will gladly pay 100k( because they have millions of gold supposedly) to get another account going for botting.

well i dont know but i just told you 100k should make lets say 30€, that would be 5russian accounts, and if iam not able to sell my gold to get this price iam not able to make any profit so i wont buy any tokens which will lead this "thinking" to nonsense, for me its kinda paradox :p

Bought gold once got banned will never do it again. I dont sell gold either i use roations on HB and plan to spend real money to make fake money ingame. I will be one of the few putting these "professorial botters" six feet down

They arent going to destroy their game though. You have to realize that people need to still pay 100k for $15...Who do you think would do that?

well then i got a question just for my information, as you said before you got millions of gold from botting, where the hell do you spend it? i mean i dont play the game anymore but even in the time i played it i couldnt spend so much gold tbh

How are they destroying their game but implementing something that doesn't cost them anything to make ? Remember you are talking on a Botting forum . People make 100k a week ( some claim a day) here.....................

My only stance on this is that blizz is trying to get people to buy gold from them instead of third-party's. maybe 100k is to high, but it won't be the same price as a third-party gold seller.

so actually you are saying they help non-profit botters by guaranteeing them cheap accounts?
he is talking about users who are willing to sell their "handfarmed" 100k for 20bucks

yes they will , you know why? because someone has already paid $19.99 for the token. They don't care what you do with it after. the more people buy tokens the more money in their pockets.


Blizz has seen the empire that gold selling has become and now finally found a way to get in on it.
 
kicking me out of the business would be like drop off 50players, seeing it financially, so why would they do this if they are out for profit?
 
This will effect gold prices to match cost of the token. Its the rule of 1 price that will apply. Market will level, so there is no ekstra profit from either pov.

Meaning that if the token is $ cheaper in gold, then you would have earned in $ from normal - then prices will go down.
If the token $ costs more in gold, then pure gold sale $ would - then prices will go up

In theory. There is the legit ingame question to take into considderation, since it will now be legit to sell game time for gold. This will be preforeable for most players.

From my pov are they challenging botters on the profit hard here.

Plot twist - gold making will be more desireable - more will bot?
 
i believe they are not going to crush the bot market for several reasons, the main ones being we are very profitable for them.. this whole idea is, imo, mainly to those players too afraid to risk a third party site, to put the idea in the head of those who never thought on buying gold that they could spend some $ and avoid the effort (a growing tendency thanks to the damned freemiums) and some small amounts and casual purchasers.
Yes we will lose sales and we still need to see what their ambitions are, but i doubt they want to take over the market, maybe they do if the maths are in their favor but there arent enought players with gold to buy that many tokens unless they really go the route of the fake sellings.
 
One might think "if they set the token price low enough, it could make the gold price go up to match the value" but then, to sell your gold you will have to offer a better value so people actually decide to buy a NON-LEGIT gold from you, rather than LEGIT gold through the token auction house. So I don't really see the gold price changing, unless the tokens will be very cheap.

Let's assume 1k gold is 1$ and a 15$ token is priced at 10k. This, theoretically, makes the gold go up to 1.5$ per 1k, but nobody will buy gold from you at that price, if you can legitimately buy the gold by selling a 15$ token. You might find buyers if you go back to 1$ per 1k, which in the end changes nothing, but reduces the amount of potential gold buyers.

Anyone who thinks that blizzard actually will sell 15$ for just 10k must be dreaming lol. Seriously 10k? What is 10k? Thats nothing, who wants to pay 15 bucks for just 10k and on the other side who needs to pay money for subscription since everyone should have 10k. That model wouldnt work at all for blizzard.
I think the price will be high. Like 70-100k for a 19.99 token, anything else wouldnt make sense. The only question i ask myself if ever this is true, what will happen to the normal gold market. Ppl who dont farm alot and dont buy token wouldnt be able to buy pets, enchants, boes anymore cause of too much gold circling around due to tokens = 100k each.

why there should be more gold circling? i mean yeah maybe some more people will jump on the train to pay for their gametime, but there is already much gold circling well due to the gold business which is there? so i dont know but your words are kinda worst shit i have ever read
