Never Report other Botters

I have read quite a few posts that mention a lot or majority of bans come form other botters reporting you.
botter reporting other botters, why oh why???? trying to remove competition, all it does is get EVERYONE more bans and cost us all to have to but more chests and restart, just dont do it!!!!!
I have seen many botters,(takes one to know one) never have I thought of reporting, its just another fellow botter trying to get ahead. C'mon guys a bit of honor amongst your own.
 
I actually had a friendly relationship with another botter back in the day.. i dont remember if he saw me or i saw him originally but we started chatting and became friendly.. we would watch out for each other and trade stuff back and forth depending on who was botting what.. i think reporting other botters is stupid...
 
I've also noticed other botter from time to time... you're farming something using a profile from this forum, then you realise, someone else is running the same profile... you both are walking the same path.

Sure its annoying, having to leave so we don't become too obvious... But why even get on blizzards radar, by reporting someone else. They might look into me also, you the fuck knows... they might figure, hey he must know something if he was able to spot him... And what would you says in the report: Yeah this guys is botting for sure, i recognize the profile he's running !!!
 
I was leveling an alt today running dungeons and our tank was clearly afk botting random dungeons. The guy was an idiot. His toon was running into walls/going the wrong direction. I honestly almost reported him for his sheer stupidity.
 
im going to report botters that dont need to be botting like (fully geared bg botters) also i can do what i want because murica and some you guys need to seriously like play the game

Reporting in any game is bad to be honest. No one wants to be known as a snitch.
 
Just so you know, reporting other botters is a bannable offense on the forum, read the rules.
 
This thread is going to get closed soon, but there's no reason to open threads like these. The forum rules clearly state that reporting other botters will get you banned from these forums.

Maybe you should actually read the forum rules...

There is no relationship between botting and thievery.


Besides, its just common courtesy not to report a fellow botter. No one is breaking any law by botting.

I served 12 years on active duty. I fought in 2 wars, spent just a tad over 5 years away from my Wife and Kids while on active duty. I was stationed in Europe for most of the time I was on active duty and can't wait to move back... God Bless MURICA.... :mad:

This is why I never bot while afk. I am always at the botting computer just to keep my eyes open for stuff or to fix a pathing error.
 
NO HB users should report other botters. That's just common courtesy. With that being said.. I know that other botters totally report other botters. I've talked to a few who got reported because one botter didn't like him "botting at HIS spot".

Are you really going to say there is no correlation between the two? I guarantee every single person here pirates movies, music, or whatever else.

No a better representation would be comparing exploiters and botters. Pirating music, movies, or software is an entirely separate [issue] albeit related in many ways.
 
First of all. i have never reported other botters, and i am not going to do it.
But...
There are 2 kind of botters. The private botter who gains personal ingame achievements, and the commercial botter. I don't see a reason for a private botter either to report or to get reported.
However, i understand commercial botters who report each other. even it is stupid i think.
The gold marked is tough. Daily falling prices, daily closed ways of getting huge amounts of gold stable.
As an example.... I botted WOTLK dungeons about 2 years before Azyul came out. i hardly saw anybody doing same. Well... it went public. 1st, the dungeons were overrun. 2nd, bans occured more and more often.
With more and more people using this profiles, people became greedy. Even you don't bother anybody by farming dungeons, it is still competition. The gold price was pretty stable at this time, but still botters reported botters.
Then WOD Presale hit. Damn. Instance botting grew like hell. at the peak over 200 "asdfa" chars per dungeon. and the price went down to the ground.
I understand, that some commercial botters who rely on that income start to report others. even i don't like it.

Easyest way to prevent getting reports from other botters... don't bot what others are botting. 100 bots in halls of lightning.... well don't bot there. so you avoid reports from 100 other bots already.
follow the mob, feel the wrath of the mob.
