Tried multiple fresh installs as well as clearing my caches.

Currently getting the same message:
Honorbuddy v2.5.12998.769 started.
Honorbuddy was unable to check for an update.
Honorbuddy will not be able to update automatically.
Logging in...

Logs attached.

I should also mention that it doesn't even check to see if I am logged into a character, or even have WoW running. It just loads that and stops.

I have also tried installing an older version (.765). It will ask me if I want to update it automatically. If I choose yes, it will download and update. When it reloads under the new version, .769, it resumes the issue of not attempting to find an update or log in.
If I choose no for the auto-update, it will load the bot and attempt to attach itself. It will then say that the version difference prevents it from working (naturally). So I am stuck now. The installer, zip and update from an older version will not create a workable copy at this version for me.

And no, there have been no other software changes, no changes to antivirus or firewall.

I tried just deleting everything, installing version .765 and everything works (it even logs in with my key if I choose not to update). It then updates to the newest version (.769) and then after the program restarts, it will not log in.

It has worked with all versions prior to this latest update with no changes to software (other than WoW's 6.1 patch).

DNS Flush and Power Cycling the Router and Modem did not work.
I am about to try deleting all of the dependencies and reinstalling them via BosslandGmbH:HelpDesk:Missing Dependencies - The Buddy Wiki

The Dependency "fix" did not work for me either. The newest version is just not playing ball. I have a Windows 8.1 OS, if that matters?

Just deleted everything in my HB folder. Downloaded the latest version and installed into a fresh folder. Put my key in, and I am getting the same issue. Yes, I can access the BuddyAuth site. Yes, my key has been checked and verified to be correct. Yes, it worked every day up until patch day. No, it is not a firewall or antivirus issue, because I disable both before trying to run it as well, and it still doesn't work.

Latest log (although I don't think anything has changed from the first 3 logs):

Also, I have tried using my phone as a hotspot to connect my computer to, to see if it would work. AND IT DOES. No changes to antivirus or firewall (both were turned on when connected to my phone's hotspot). I was able to login and use the bot perfectly. I reconnected to my wireless router, and tried again, and I am having the same issues. I have made no changes since the last official release, so I wonder why it would work for my hotspot but not my wireless network.

Yes, I have already deleted local caches, flushed my DNS and cycled the power on my modem and router, to no effect. I was able to use my wireless connection before using the last release version with no issues. I'm still trying to troubleshoot this on my end. But seeing as how there are other who have a similar issue, is it possible something was done on the programming side of this program?

*UPDATE* So I connected my computer directly to my modem via ethernet cable. It worked, I was able to login. I tried the same connection to my router... it did not work. I am pretty convinced that somehow HB software is not recognizing my connection through my wireless router (either wirelessly connected or hard-line connected) and therefore will not attempt to update or login. Again, it worked on my current setup before on the last official release, even wirelessly, no issues. So I am guessing it's an HB change that needs fixing.

update to the new build, and see if it makes any difference, but as you probably know theres something going on with the router blocking the connection.

Yes, I am already on .770

I don't know why the router is blocking anything. And I'm not sure IF it's the router blocking it. It worked for .765 and I haven't changed anything. It's weird to be sure.

you just said if you connect directly to your modem that its fine and it works correctly. when you add your router back in the issue persists. theres something your router is doing to shape or block your traffic.

Why would it then work for an older version of HB with no changes to hardware (I have been using my router the whole time and it has been working prior to .769) and then suddenly not work after there is a software change (ie. Honorbuddy)? It can't be a hardware issue per-say. Yes, the router is somehow involved, but if it worked with an older version, there is something in the new programming that prevents it from being accepted.

I know I am also not the only one with this issue specifically and none of us have changed our hardware, but all of a sudden, our routers decide to stop allowing HB's traffic in without changing anything? Again, I doubt that it is specifically and entirely a router issue. Especially since I heavily doubt that every person with this issue is using the exact same router or even brand of router.
