No profile writer is going to support Questing in Mixed Mode.
For many quests, the quest state is damaged too badly when you enter a battlegrounds or dungeon, then return. An obvious example is you are in the middle of an escort when the dungeon or BG queue pops, and Honorbuddy transfers to that instance. When you return, the quest is not in the same state in which you left it. Sometimes this may be recoverable, and sometimes not.
Other examples where state is damaged:
Any quest that is under a timing constraint.
(e.g., " Finding your center)
Quests where you are incapacitated, and must take particular action to 'free yourself'.
Quests that require a chain of successive actions to succeed.
(i.e., almost any quest that has a 'specific' quest behavior written for it.)
Many quests that use (mobile or stationary) vehicles in particular configurations.
Quests where you assume the role or identity of an NPC.
Quests where you must 'follow a particular path' to succeed.
Quests where you 'combine items' to progress.
Quests that require LUA actions to accomplish certain steps.
The escort example is easy to understand, but there are scores of quests types where the state is irrecoverably damaged by joining a dungeon or battleground. There are just too many 'specific cases' for questing that must be handled to support Questing in mixed mode. Humans know what should be done to put things right, but giving such instructions to a bot is problematical.
Practically speaking...
You can 'get away' with questing in Mixed Mode on occasion. But, it is absolutely going to come back and bite you sooner or later.
A profile writer is not going to support Questing with Mixed Mode. To make such accommodations would easily double or triple the size of the profile. It would also be very hard to test whether the accommodations worked or not, as there is no way for a profile writer to force a 'battleground/dungeon pop' on demand for testing purposes.
If you post a complaint into a profile thread, your problem is going to be summarily dismissed if evidence is found you were using Questing with Mixed Mode.
