Hi,
Is possible to get banned if you farm a dungeon for a lot of hours straight? Lets say 10-15 hours at day everyday. I understand that if you use the bot where people can see you they can report you but inside a dungeon they wouldnt see you and couldnt report you so, as far as i know, you could farm a lot, right? I ask because i dont know.

Ask yourself.

Would you run the same path, the same dungeons 15h in a row? No you wouldn't. So yes you can get a ban and it is likely

And if blizzard ban you for it, I doubt they will even review it after your appeal, noone would believe you, that you did it manually for long 15 hours doh ;)

This wold imply that they are monitoring your actions and not just short ones but actions, spells, paths for 15 hours straight. Is this true? Because this is the only way I see they could ban you if nobody can see you in a dungeon.

I've run a dungeon farm for like a week now, 16 hours a day with few 10-60min breaks. I'm pretty sure it is a higher ban rate, just hasn't happened to me yet. So take that as you will.

I ran 5x toons 24/7 dungeon farming. They lasted 4 weeks before they got banned. Made over 1M gold by just selling all the junk.

So go into it expecting to be banned and try to make as much as possible for as long as possible Once you get banned, setup new $5 accounts and continue as normal.

I do believe they monitor a lot more than you might think. And it's reaaaaaaaaaally easy for them (no server lag caused by this) to see you've been online for 16 hours. Then you might get flagged for suspicious behavior and they'll look in to you.
Botting is about looking human!:)

Do not underestimate the blizzard devs power, there is numbers of other ways for them to determinate and classify your characters ingame actions. It is their game after all, not ours, so they could config their server's monitoring much better or much differently, than we could ever expect, not because someone is more clever than someone else, but just because they have deeper knowledge for their product than anyone else.

In the dungeon farming case, you will get banned on the account, if farming 10-15hours daily, sooner or later, and no matter if you do it manual or with bot. So if you are after this, its recommended to do it on account you dont fear to loose, as usual.

you are walking outside the instance every 6-10 minutes to reset the instance.
every 4-5 runs you are flying to the vendor to empty your bags

this is where the bothunters sit and wait. to report you, to gank you, just to annoy you.

having the mammoth helps on gph, but it makes you more vulnerable since you are outside the instance mounted on a giant mammoth, right in the doorway, for as long as it takes to empty your bags.

Yep, but still this kind of farming do exist, and I guess it could be profitable enough, if not done with suicide accounts. And it was already confirmed, that we need plenty of reports on the account, to flag it for investigation, and ban after.

Who exactly confirmed this?

The community, who else

All the discussions, ban reports here, all the "report warning" I have received from other players ingame on number of my botting accounts brings the feeling, that ingame reports do definitely contribute to the bans, but with high latency in the most situations.

One of my botting farms on a certain EU server have been focused by a "fellow" botter, who seemed "offended" by my undercutting on the AH and he obsessively have been reporting my toons on this server for like 2 years!

In that time he only succeed to close down only 1 of my 4 herb/ore farmers on this server, the other 2 successfully recovered with 2x 72h suspensions each and one received the Blizzard's wrath with Abuse of Economy auto-ban, after traded almost a million F2F in less than 24h time frame ;)

Regarding player reports in the Battlegrounds, I guess this could be another story, since plenty of people have reported to be hit fairly fast after some unattended botting within BGs.

ERROR! Source not reliable! shutdown in 5 seconds.... *bzzzzzzzz*.

Thanks for your answers.

Im not interested in gold farm, or at least tons of gold farms. I just want to get somethings done with my man char, like rep grinds and that kind of things.

BTW about ganks, is not better to play in a pve then?

You Sir, have a very loose definition of the word Confirmed.

If we depend on the community to confirm stuff we are in deep shit.

AFAIK some things have to be "confirmed" by the community since blizzard wont say shit. Look at the poundfist spawn, for example.

Then you are free to contact Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. for official confirmation, ... or rely on the experience, done by the community, usually these, who had care to contribute in the Ban reports forum section.

No matter if someone do like or not my definition for confirmation, we are on the internet and everyone is free to assume anything.

And I doubt you would ever log in this forum section, if you do not "depend on the community".

Did you run WoD dungeons in 5x party? Right?

why would you 'depend on the community' if everyone is free to assume anything. you may want to check your definitions of fact and speculation.

no one here can claim 'fact' on Blizzard's policies. we can sit around and speculate, throw around theories, and guess why something happens. Often times these discussions are at best, an entertaining anecdote, other times these threads are filled with outlandish claims and childish rants.
