wait, what? i think what you mean is, 'gathering 24/7 is no good any more'

i have multiple accounts running 20 hour days, for the last 8 months. not gathering ghost iron, or tea leaves, but gathering something. mostly vanilla/bc/wrath herbs and ore. one account dedicated to skinning and alchemy to support my main who is a JC. I still pull 15-20k a day just goofing off. i realize thats not much, but its enough for me. and 15k x 25 days = 375k a month. and thats with only 3 accounts, 2 farming and a raiding account. adding another 2 farming accounts this week to prepare for wod, wooot!

i should amend this before you get the wrong idea. my farmer accounts arent afk at all. i farm this zone for a couple hours, then go prospect, then go run the ah for an hour, then go farm another continent for a couple hours, then i rest for an hour, then go farm for a couple hours, then run halls of lightning/tolvir for a couple hours, then go AH for an hour.

i had 18 acc's at start of MOP farming they are where making 375k a day

You make so much money you can hire some people to watch your bots for you. Oh yes, you are on Easy Street now. You only need to buy more HB accounts to bot with. You get around 200 Honorbuddy accounts running on 20 different computers with 5 people watching them in 8 hour shifts and you rake in some serious cash. You sell the gold, you sell the accounts before they get banned, you do powerleveling and keep the gold and any epics you find from doing the PL, you sell virtual (online ingame) items, and you make some good money no matter how old you are. :-)

the Ban waves just happen and when you get caught in the wave... just plan on getting banned! run it till it doesn't log in no more!
 
Selling ingame currency (especially WoW gold) is a multibillion (that's with a b for billion) dollar industry. You are wasting time if you are not making money off of it. Some day Blizzard might learn how to shut down the market, but for now you have a wide open window of opportunity. You could make over $50k per month if you do this on a large enough scale. It is a much bigger business than you realize.

I said that ages ago :P

but to earn 50k a month you best not sleep and have well over 200 bots going at once. I would rather trade my stocks then do this full time. I already know how hard it is on some people who bot for a living.

2+ Months running now for 2 accounts. Running roughly 5-7 hours a day. I do 1 day on one off. Meaning account one will be farming Gundrak tonight, the other gathering. Tomorrow night they will switch.

A small bit of advice. Try to get more out of your dungeon runs. For example - One of my accounts features a skinner who gets roughly 20-30 borean leather per Gundrak run. 200 will sell for roughly 1kg if auctioned in stacks of 20.

Look for small things like this. Sell your frostweave, or if LK dungeons are too dangerous on your server. Find a BC dungeon that significantly drops other crafting mats that may be beneficial for you.

This has worked for me,
