Hello buddies,

is it considered safe to start multiple instances of the game (multibot) from the one source? It will create all chars data in the same WTF folder so I think it can be monitored by blizz.

Yes yes, I'm paranoid :)

My answer is not meant to imply that I "know" for a fact that they don't monitor the WTF folder.

The WTF folder is primarily a repository for user settings. There is nothing really in there to indicate that multiple clients are running.

multiple instances of wow are supported. there is nothing against the rules for running multiple instances.

True. But if they found that char X was botted, and there's other Y and Z chars at the same WTF folder they just need to check others and ban whole bunch of bastards. WTF folder puts a weak link between them.

From experience, I run multiple instances from the same folder and never have had a problem.

Two accounts over almost 5 years banned out of... So many.. So I'm going to say it's okay. Nothing is ever safe.
