Other bot forums do so.

If someone is interested in the product then they can look up a youtube video.

Otherwise you get your threads copied and pasted all over the official forums to the detriment of your product and customer base.

Also, when you close a thread, It might be better to remove it all together.

I agree to that. I've seen way too many pasted stuff in the official forums.

Lol. Is that going to stop Trion employee from buying a key to view the entire forum? I think they might even be able to afford to buy a few.

I was about to say something similar, to make these forums private makes no sense at all, Trion can gain access so there is no point! These forums should be public to help sales and strengthen the bot's in game screw Trion we need to fight back! Show no Mercy! Just like they show us no Mercy!

i agree with that alot of stuffs from this fourms going out side and ppl report to Trion about it ...

and BTW i have manny frinds useing other bots didn't get bannd and every one i know who useing AB getting bannd ....

really i'm thinking Trion foucsing AB .. so we must make it privet so no one can see it just who paid for AB !!

Ty alot

same here i know trion have access to the forum but still there are kids who come here and keep posting junks its better to have access using auth key ^_^

You guys need to look at the big picture, this has nothing to do with Trion gaining access. It has to do with the publicity and thus the public uproar that follows when some new "unfair advantage" is gained by the bots. Anything that comes out is immediately viewable to the entire AA player base.

Some people spend thousands of dollars to become uber in the game, making forums private won't stop someone from dropping a few bucks to gain reddit-rep as the botleaker or whatever.
As for the unfair advantages that cause uproar, the issue is people using plugins like the land-grabbing ones (or radar to counter stealth), that will immediatly display inhuman skills to a bunch of people around them and will make them angry enough to start a witch hunt regardless of the privacy of these forum.

And to be honest, I don't think I'd have became a buddy customer at first if I couldn't have browsed these forums to find about the true potential of the bot, by checking posts by everyone and downloading some plugins to see how easily I'd be able to write my own stuff.

Yeah but by doing that they support the botting :P

Bossland has said from the first day of these forums, when honnorbuddy (wow bot) started, that the forums will always be visible. any company can pay $30 to get access to this forum, theres no security added to restrict to paying memebers only.

I don't think people understand still, we have gone over this a few times now lol, the only way it would become private is if it was censored to everyone, but how the bloody hell would we know which plugins are worthy or not... come on people use your god damn brain! These forums won't be private so get that out of your head!

for legal reasons this won't happen, a legitimate business wouldn't feel the need to hide their activities to the outside public and would look bad during a court case... although I think they should ban hotlinking for bandwidth reasons, would have to login before downloading any of the bots, any other database relieving methods so that they wouldn't have a high bill.

Yes..it actually does..employees don't bother coming to these forums for the simple fact that they aren't paid to do so. They can do so on their own hours and it's a game..why would they waste their time coming here on their free time when they are underpaid?

The people who copied and pasted the threads to reddit etc were gamers with too much free time. Few people would waste real life money to "spy" on bot forums. It limits this kind of activity.

You never see this happening with other bot sites with paying members only forums.

Make the threads private please and ignore the trolls. It's the logical thing to do to minimize the exposure.

Then you're just asking for a wave of banning to happen again and losing more of your customer base.
