Hi!

I asked this before but no one was really banned yet, so I think it's time again...

I'm looking for people who:

  • Use their own personal network for two accounts (no proxies, two PCs)
  • Use one for their main and one for their bot
  • Only sent small amounts (<hundred daily) of gold from bot to main
  • Never used AB on their main PC
  • Only used a single AA client/account on the bot machine

Anyone above that was banned, I am wondering how you were banned. Were both accounts banned or just the bot? Were both accounts Patron?

Just looking for more info on whether using AB on the same network as my main is a stupid idea or not.

At this point I am 99% sure there are certain functions in ab which trigger this. One is used in land grabber. Not sure on the other ones.

Yes, I know there is something doing it... I am not wondering about that. I want to know if something did trigger it on your bot, if it will hit your main on the same network too.

Anything that requires sending packets to the trion servers is likely to get you banned. This includes land grabbing/polling, auction house bots, and anti-afk. I'd avoid using those for now.

That's not what I'm asking. I'm asking if a bot gets banned on your personal network if it will ban other accounts on that network but on a different PC. That said, my friend who used absolutely nothing aside from traderoutes got banned. He didn't even use the quester. So there is definitely something outside of those suspects.

On your network all your computers have the same WAN IP, so yes you could get your IP flagged. Whether that results in a ban is up to the professional engineers on the other side. For all we know they can detect AB easily and only ban egregious offenders, saving the rest up for bigger banwave down the road. MMO companies have to be very creative not only with individual bots, but a botting/hacking industry as a whole, and maximizing profit at the same time. One interesting perspective on the industry is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fopEaJglzWE . In WoW they would ban in 3-month intervals because more people re-purchase subscriptions that way compared to more frequent banwaves.

The safest thing to do is to assume everything and anything can get you banned, take as many precautions as you can, and still be prepared to lose the account. Indeed, even legit players are being banned.

They probably have a check to say if you are over a certain threshold at a certain level they will look into it. Etc. They have to have some algorithm in place. I am guessing that if you trade with a banned account from the same IP, you will get nailed also. I would avoid trading at what ever cost if you are on the same IP. I would also trade for something when you do trade. As for the same IP, it may happen, and from what I can see, they give zero fucks about banning people who get nailed on a false positive. So, be careful.

I've been wondering about this myself. I haven't used AB yet but I think I'm going to try it this weekend. I'm going to try it on the same computer, but set up a proxy server for when I'm on AB. Also, all I care about using is the land scanner (not the grabbing portion). Any reports of people getting banned for using this and only this?

Yes, scanning sends requests to the server and is detectable. That said, nobody (here) knows for sure if that's a trigger for a ban. Some people have scanned a lot and not banned (yet).

If you had searched you would already have your answer. I lost my main account due to botting, however my roomates account is safe. We share the same IP, but had no interaction. If you create interaction, then trion has already showed what happens, the gold will be deducted from your main account (which is the least that can happen).

No company can afford to ban their good customer, because they have a hacker next door. Therefor you can think of it as in dubio pro reo. However I would actually involve a friend with another IP. Give him APEX you purchased with your bot, a small cut for him and let him trade stuff to your main on e.g. another day.

Cover your tracks if you are sending everything only one way, then obviously that is your bot.

The day I was banned I had 2 clients on 1 comp just logged in and a 3rd on another comp that was literally just getting logged in. They Banned every account attached to the IP at the time.

I had 2 accounts that i leveled 1-30 using questing plugin and then i sticked to trade runs. I used both with my main, in the same network, same PC.
I sent small amounts of 200 or 300 hundred golds to my main via mail every day.
I used AB with my main to farm hasla.
My two bot accounts were banned. My main is safe.
My main account is patron. The others are f2p.

The gold from my main character was all removed. I didnt have much, i wasted almost everything buying mats. I think i lost ~100 or ~150 gold.

FYI my alt account got banned this week-end.

Same IP as my main.
I regularly sent mails to my main.

I even logged in to the alt and the main account with glyph sometimes so they could have been linked by HWID.

So despite all this my main was not banned.

What you have just described is every function that AB is capable of.
