1) Forums should be private, right now anyone can read this without even having to create an account.
2) Only confirmed purchases/clients should be allowed to frequent posts about paths/areas/farming details etc...

Even though the guy didn't reference this site, because it's against that sub-reddit rules, a quick google search turns up:

I hate it that these forums are so open, and encourage people to stop contributing until the admins do something about it.

People like to browse what the community is developing and what is being planned. People with a solid head on their shoulders will typically research something to a certain degree before buying something. If we lock the forums to purchased-only members, like some hack sites, I think sales will decline. Does it suck? Yes. Is making the forums private fiscally advantageous? No.

Don't hold your breath.

^this.

I actually found the forum because of that reddit post, and bought the bot today :D I'm a C# dev by day, and am looking forward to checking out the API.

This just free publicity. 95% of the people that viewed that topic will go " Omg, fucking bots" and then go back to their brain-numbing grinding, the other 5% will probably search for and buy the bot...

This is probably the main reason that myself, and people like myself will not post how we are able to make large amounts of profit, but instead only post ways that are already common knowledge for decent amounts of profit. I never post any of my "get rich quick" methods.

Main reason I bought in too. After planting turmeric for the 200th time, and hours spent looking for empty lots, I realized, this farmville simulator is way too boring to play without some automation. It was more interesting and fun to use my comp sci background to develop a GUI, think about AI, etc. I've gained more from the programming than I could from playing a video game. Couldn't care less about virtual gold anymore.

Cause you don't have any.

Hope you guys are enjoying your bans :)

Is Archebuddy still "disabled" lol?

Seems like if you are going to have a forum where you all wilfully disclose how and what you are doing, you should make it private....oh wait, you can't.

Excellent :)
