Gatherbuddy installing extra component

My gatherbuddy says that it needs to install an extra component whenever i click on it to open it, this has happened for both standard and gold seller versions, and i see in the folder it adds the files, but it still says that it needs to install it after i click on it. Help!

I'm having the exact same problem. I was getting ready to post about it myself.
 
its doing the same thing over and over for me and no one seems to know what to do
 
Have you clicked the extra executible they have included in the folder that installs these addition componets?
 
Have you ran GB as an administrator? (Assuming Vista or W7)

Didn't work for me :/ the program keeps stopping due to some error.

I was trying to get a friend to use GB today... and they have .net 3.5 ... tried to run GB and it needed to install extra components. OK thats fine, did it, didn't do anything. then i remembered about this thread and had them download it. as soon as it was ran, BOOM "stopping due to error" =(

now, there are 2 components in the .net 3.5 that aren't on (in windows programs --> add features --> .net 3.5 drop down) and I tried to install them, but it gave me an error w/ that... I don't know why. I'm in Germany, they're in the states so I can't simply go over there and "fix" it -- I was trying via Teamviewer
 
Ok i have it working now. When i unzipped the file into the GB folder it created a workaround folder. I moved the work around app into the main gb folder and it worked fine :)

yup followed the instructions given above - downloaded workaroundfolder- copy pasted it into main gather buddy extraction folder - activated then run work around folder (dos windows opens notifying you its completed succesfully) - followed by the gatherbuddy application file and all working well ^_^
