[Question] Map (hack)

Hello PushedX and others

the "old" version of the exilebuddy had a map function in it, so when you clicked it you could see the entire map, crates, chests, monsters and so on. Is it possible to get that back ? could really use a hand finding those pesky underground monsters for the full clear achievement on my main account :)

And that map hack would help a ton.

Or if someone else knows a way please share it.

That map visualizer has been shelved for now I believe. It was pretty laggy/crashed a lot so until it's reworked, if it ever is, it'll be left out.
 
The "Map Visualizer" (the wording matters, as hacks are not allowed on these forums) was a tool to help debug terrain mesh generation as well as the old exploration system.

It was removed at the time of the first Beta rewrite (around May) due to issues it had with using the API from other threads. The nature of that tool created significant overhead and interfered with the bot because it was doing really frequent updates.

There's no real solution to improving it though. There'll always be considerable overhead when you poll objects for data, and in turn that will negatively affect the bot. It was never meant to be used as a "hack tool" though, but we can't stop users from using the API to do such things.

It is certainly possible to use the API to make a much more lightweight "radar", and if you want. I'll have to check with staff about the nature of these radar plugins now, because they could fall under a hack category and be something we can't distribute any longer.

First step would be to actually put your critiques into words rather than post a passive aggressive side-note in a non-related topic. As far as I'm aware the current item filter plugin works fine. So... user error?
 
It works fine with me, I actually prefer it over any others, it's just better.
 
There are some options out there if you know where to look.. however you must realise that using any form of program that alters your client is exposing you to potential bans.

That being said I heard through the grapevine that apple cores own.
