Boon of Hoarder Gem Is Ridiculous

So what exactly is everyone doing with the insane amount of gold Boon of Hoarder gives?

On average I'm getting between 55-60mill gold/hr, which gives me over 1billion gold per day (including downtime).
I feel the need to just upgrade my thousands of gems to the top level just to use up some of the gold... but it's pointless because I'll never use it.

Sigh, I wish for the day where the RMAH still existed and most of us on here could be making some serious money.

If you are using Crusterian Wristguard, then its fun to use BoH, but if you are not, then just dont use BoH.
If RMAH was still open, i doubt you can make "some serious money".

I remember when D3 came out and i paid like 500 dollars for 3,5 million gold.....hehe
 
Boon of the Hoarder + Goldwrap makes you nearly unkillable! Ofc you can't use the combo in GRifts - But for normal play and Rifts its something!
 
If RMAH still existed, there would be an influx of gold thus driving the value of gold down even more. Meaning none of us would be making "serious" money from using BoH...
 
If there was AH with the amount of gold we stack up, nothing would sell on AH and if it did, it would all be in the billions to adjust, no one wants to buy a basic blue axe for 40million ;)

Beset setup ever..
WD + ToTD + Adverse Band ring + Gold Wrap + Illusionary Boots + Kymbos Gold ammy (new 2.1 with life per gold proc) + Boon at rank 25+. Use FL passive, you have 55yd+ pickup radius 85+movment speed and unlimited amounts of toughness. Makes for faster bounties, less dying and insane amount of gold.

Its a waste to use Kymbos Gold and Averice Band, you sacrice too much DPS in using those (tried it before).
Pet WD + ToTD + Gold Wrap + Illusionary Boots + Boon at rank 25+Crusterian Wristguard (for XP)
Thats basically enough setup with faster kill time since you can use Hellfire Amy/Status Immune Amy,SOJ+TMR, And 2 more gems.
 
Are Custerian Wristguards really worth it? The below is all based on T6 regular rifts.

On the high end I'm getting 65mill Gold/HR, which would equate to 65m XP/HR extra.
The range I see on my bot is 1.5-2B XP/hr, let's just go conservative with the 1.5bill.

So in wearing the custerian wristguards I'm only getting an extra ~4.3% XP, or 1.56billion XP over a 24 hour botting period. I feel like you may sacrifice more DPS wise which would lower your overall XP/hr , to be worth that 4.3%xp.

Just spitballing here :)
 
damn at this point how much gold is enough im pushing 4 billion and i cant spend it faster then i make it, ive allready taken boon off
 
Haha yeah, I only found the gem two days ago. At the time I was hovering around 900mill. I'm now at 3 billion and climbing steadily. I may just upgrade all my gems to top end just to use some up.

well the funny thing about hat is once you have the gems you need for the toons you have all you have to do is upgrade to imperial now due to the crafting change, so you still gonna end up with a ton of gold

I see your reply and raise you :eek:

The XP from CW bracer is not even noticeable at high paragons and the amount of dps you lose from say lacunis or something you are currently using, I would rather go reg bracer and throw back on ring/ammy. The PUR proc from ring is amazing (you could even do without ToTD if you wanted) and the KG ammy, well thats a preference, but you will feel like ironman with that healing and armor from GW.

Yeah, I've already had the gems for all my characters for ages now... so it would just be upgrading for the sake of upgrading..... haha

It may be unnoticeable, but T6 Bounty/Rift doesnt require too much DPS so you can sacrifice the bracers and still have a nice DPS to finish them w/o dying.
ToTD has a fixed permanent 20 range pickup while Averice band, max of 30 range for 10 sec.
Well, end of the day its all about preference, mine is to maximize my toon.

If its DPS you are worried about, just drop BoH and all the gold related gear, and focus on DPS and you wont die in T6 Rift/Bounty.
If you die in that level, that you have to find better gear/build. :)
 
Yeah fair enough. I've been running T6 with my DH for about 36 consecutive hours with no deaths so it wasn't the death that concerned me. Just the slight reduction in DPS resulting in a slightly longer run, therefore dropping the XP/HR. But I think at this point it's so minimal it just comes down to user preference as you say :)

I'm a bit of a hoarder with my D3 stash, so the gem fits me perfectly haha. I want to amass billions.
 
BotH is about more than just gold. It's the gear combo's it provides. When running normal rifts, I run my WD pet gold and Monk Sunwuko gold setups, both on T6. Having said that, at 130-180 mil/hr and turning at 30b+, it doesn't hurt to amass such riches, as now you can re-roll a stubborn gear piece until you get what you want (I've had to do 20m per roll before getting what I need on gear, and cared not a bit).
