Title says it all really. I went to like Echos farming post and...well...i couldn't :(
Just me being blind or is it missing?

I heard Tony ate all the likes, now we have to wait until the nature calls.

/jokes aside I hope they can get it back soon.

Looks like we can Facebook like a thread.

If only I still had a Facebook account

we will fix it asap, atm there are some major issues in the line that needs to be fixed :)

Soooooo...only 4 months later.
Facebook and google+ all good and all but being able to like a post on the forum we like would be nicer ;p I understand the power of advertising on external sites for revenue but would also be nice to advertise posts that are useful on the main site for users that are already members.

I was advised that the "Like" button was an extra cost to maintain, and it was also a way of DDoSing the site, so it was removed to cut down on costs of running the forums and to aid in the prevention of DDoS attacks. So, it may not return, but then again Tony says it may return, so we'll have to see what happens in the future.

will return if we find a way to make it safe again

If you like a thread then reply. I think like buttons are lazy and can be abused anyway.

Replying to a thread/post is not the same as liking it. Though i have been known to be lazy ;p

Regardless, thanks for the clarification Zel and Tony ;)
