So I've been using the bot for a few days as I've only owned for about 3 days, botting about 6-8 hours a day using profiles I've found here...
I've gotten a whisper or two, group invite (for quests), etc. and while I'm around when I bot, I don't watch the screen every minute so even being slow to respond for 2-5 minutes while you keep killing and the person is there watching you seems silly... So I decided to:
1) Use RedAlert plug in for whispers/follows/etc. and leave volume on WoW client off
2) Create my own profile as I'm worried the few on this site are areas checked by GMs or other players just to report people (paranoid yeah, but just in case)
My issue is that when I create hotspots (click on My Location in bot, copy and paste into profile), my toon literally runs from one to another - as expected, right?
Except that if mobs attack while moving from one to another, he just keeps running until he gets there, despite having "Kill between Hotspots" checked and pull radius 30M. My toon is a rogue BTW and using CC to ambush so no distance pulling...
I assumed that when moving between hotspots, it would poll a 30M radius and then attack anything in that area while moving through the hotspots.
Right now it will run between hotspots, drag whatever might have attacked, then stop, turn and start fighting. Looks ultra botish.
The only way I can see fixing it is adding a zillion hotspots every 2 feet along my path which is very time consuming and not managable.
What am I missing/doing wrong?
P.S. The only reason I mention RedAlert is last night I just started using it and like 1 hour in, I get the notification that someone is following me. I'll post this question in that specific thread, but when I looked around, there was someone in the area, but I never had text saying they were following me. Either way, I left. Today when I tried to use my new profile, 30 seconds into logging in and moving out from town, I had an alert saying someone was following me - yet no one was near but a mob did just attack me. False positive or could it be an invis GM that had me on some watch list if reported, etc?
