Hey all,
I was just curious to know how many and/or how successful you guys are with heroic raiding / arena ect?
Am i nuts to think that i could join a guild and just use a CR to be a valued member?
I'd really like to hear what content you have done and what legendary coder helped you get there.
1. Done 14/14HC SoO long time ago on several of my characters. However i never PvP (except for the legendary cloak and its PvP part) so i cant tell you much about PvP stuff.
2. Short answer is "No you are not, i heard and read good number of success stories with HB where ppl joined guild and became core team raiding members even without knowing much about their class. Downside is when something like this happen (Tripwire event) you are in trouble."
You can perform quite well with these rotations, some of them perform better than others, and some of good ones are paid. As for performance its mainly up to you, you can invest money in paid rotations and have an easy ride, however i like to have a bumpy ride for several reasons. I like to take free rotation and mod it/fix it so it suite my needs. That way i like to think that im doing two good things, im contributing to opensource/free community and im learning about coding as i go trough it.
3. First of all, I know how to play all of mine main charrs and their offspecs, on which i can perform close to routine's output. Im using mainly HB for leveling my Alts and im botting until i learn rotations and get familiar with class it self. WHEN im boting in raids i usually use edited versions of rotation, stripped down of all advanced stuff and down to basic combat rotation/priority, I still like being engaged in combat, but basic rotation is something that im bored to do. As every bot is kinda semi-stupid and its not able to detect higher damage/ boss burst phase, so i like to do it manually.
This questions is similar to question 1, but ill answer it anyway. I botted almost whole MoP expansion, i did all raids on HC, some of them sooner, some of them later, all with my version of stripped down routines. As for help, most of the coders here are quite helpful and supportive providing that you respect them and post bug issues with logs in the way they ask you to do so instead of running around forum and spamming "HALP IM STAK HB NO WORK!" (you would be surprised how many ppl are actually doing exactly that). I cant name them all as forgetting someone would not be fair since several of them are really dedicated to community and working on several projects. Just be cool and someone will always help you, coder or not.
Sorry for long post, hope it helps you.
Cheers.
