Why closing Threads?

wh is the Staff closing threads with posts like:

thread closed, so much misinformation.

Wouldn't it be the right way to give the right Information?

Nobody knows what is going on since warden and tripwire.
Nobody from staff gives any information.

You are forcing the people to "shit talk" about bans, warden, tripwire and so on. Because you do not give ANY information, except "there is a warden update, it could be more risky to bot, if you don't want to get banned don't bot".

If i would die when i get banned, i would not have start botting.
But how big is the risk of getting banned?
Is Honorbuddy detected?
Is there any chance of botting without getting banned after warden update?

Sooo many Questions, and i dont think, i am the only one in this Forum with that lack of answers.


Give some further information!
Let us know everything you know.
Any Deteils you know.

I thínk this is the better way to stop those "threads with missinformation".

Due to legal reasons, I would assume HB Staff cannot give any information.
 
They did answer. They said it would take at least 30 days for them to assess the impact of the Warden change.

Just because no one likes their answer does not mean they did not give one.

Do you really think they have NOTHING new today? What could be interessting for their Customers?

more like day 4. what i THINK is not relevant. I was just stating they did provide information. Would i like an update? Sure. But i dont NEED one.

Have i ever said that they give no Information?
I have said, if they want to Stop those threads, they should give further information and details instead of closing threads.

They are closing threads for several reasons:

1. They end up with someone passing their opinion as fact, this fuels many believing it as fact, this causes them to have to receive PMs and such from panic stricken users (yes, this is opinion i am passing off as afct)
2. The thread descends into personal attacks
3. They are just tired of all the threads.

They are controlling what information is being allowed to circulate and making sure people are still respectful of each other.

Closing threads and providing more information are mutually exclusive. Your tying them together.

Why not give the FACTS?

This would stop the Threads without closing them.
 
For those not understanding the response Xcesius gave, what he means is that there is a 30 day time window on proprietary coding from Blizzard. It means that they (Honorbuddy) have to wait 30 days before disclosing what was involved in the updated coding. HB is already being sued by Blizzard, so why add more fuel to the fire by divulging proprietary informations before the 30 day waiting period is over? HB is covering their own ass by sticking to as many rules and regulations as possible so they don't give Blizzard any more ammunition to add to the court cases. At least, this is how it was explained to me. I'm not saying it's fact, but it makes sense.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love answers as well, but I won't get those answers, so I just let it go and deal with it.

I believe this is the case, as well. HB is (and was) well aware of what changed with Warden as soon (or shortly after) Tripwire happened. The thirty day wait isn't to investigate to see what changed; they already know (I mean there's other bot/program developers that already know what changed specifically...won't divulge details). Everyone calm down. If anything the thirty days is based on the quote above and/or the fact that this is the first serious change to Warden in three years and they want to be extra cautious in-case they make further changes.

I don't know that it would be in the best interest of HB, or its users, to publish their findings. They just need to tell us enough to keep us safe.

Suddenly I am craving Cheese...

At any rate I sometimes get really annoyed with all of the Tinfoil hat cry babies around here... Then I realize (using a metaphor here) If we (HB users) are campers in the woods, and a Bear (Blizzard) comes to eat us (Ban our accounts). I don't need to outrun the bear, I just need to be faster then the other campers, and given the amount of slow campers around here I am pretty confident I can handle that. Don't be the slow camper :)
