Diablo Patches
Demonbuddy is broken and doesn't work, what do I do now ?
Simple, you wait until the devs have looked at the patch and have updated db. If there is any reason that there will be extended downtime then the devs will post and let us know.
Everytime Diablo is updated aka patched, demonbuddy has to be updated to work!!
What is the usual update turn around ?
Well how long is a piece of string ?
Usually its a few hours, but as mentioned above if its somewhat extended then the devs will let us know. There is no need to post 101 posts by multiple users on the forum, requesting an update to db.
When an update has been pushed, simply load up db as mentioned below and a self updater will execute.
Getting Banned
The old question, will I be banned, won't I be banned?!
Simple, if you don't want to risk a ban then simple, don't bot. If you are going to bot then be smart, don't tell people you bot, don't be online all day everyday for stupid hours on end, don't run the same profile/boss over and over.
Since RoS there hasn't been any reports of bans, but all the old ban's if you look at the history are from users farming gold on multiple accounts, selling gold etc and basically running them 24/7
Once you've been banned, you have to remember that you've just flagged your account and IP address to blizz which basically means, whatever they do on their end to monitor flagged accounts will continue to monitor.
Just be smart, don't be stupid.

Is this Demon Buddy ?

What is it ?
In short its a server throttle from Blizzard's end, basically your games per hour are to high, your time between games is to fast.
There is nothing you can do other than try and slow it down, make it look more human, if your smashing out 80gph for example and a human can do maybe 40gph, try and find an inbetween.
Lost Subscription Days
Some users buy keys for a month, 3 days etc
But what happens when db doesn't work because it needs to be updated, and your loosing days ?
You can email [email protected] which will log a "ticket" instantly so that a mod/dev can credit where and when needed the lost days.
Pre-Req's for Demonbuddy
What are Pre-Req's ?
Pre-Req's is something that needs to be done first, in this case you need to ensure that you have the correct microsoft updates and additional software installed before db can function and work fully and correctly.
These are:
Microsoft .NET Framework 4
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010
Microsoft Visual C++ 2012

Unsure if your computer has the above installed or having installation/first run trouble?

Managing Demonbuddy
Managing db will allow you to access your sessions and db key, I strongly advise you set up your account: Here
Use the same email you used to purchase your key, try to use a different password if possible also.
Lost Demonbuddy Key
Lost your key and lost the original email.
Not to worry simply register: Here with the same email you used to purchase db, so same as the above heading.
Once logged in simply go to "Keys" to retrieve your key.
Max Demonbuddy Sessions
This is a common issue, and its nothing to worry about. The sessions will expire themselves but if they don't in a timely fashion then same as the above two headings.
Simply register: Here
Once logged in, go to "sessions" and kill off your sessions, and login to db again.
Demonbuddy Download
Beta Version ?
I'm sure you've all heard of beta, what with you all being gamers in a fashion. It's simply another version of db which may or may not have different/new features compared to the released version.
Sometimes is best to use the beta version instead of the release version.

Release Version ?
Release version is simply classed as the most stable version, however is doesn't always mean it will have the latest/newest features like the beta version may have.
But that doesn't mean the beta version is better then the release version. Always where possible use this version.

Updating Demonbuddy
Db will auto update when a new release is pushed, beta or release versions. If you however find some errors/db to not work correctly after an auto update, then it is advised you download and make a fresh/clean install of db.
Follow the links above to get a fresh/clean version to install.
Combat Routine Selection
What is this ?
This is what will allow db to fight for you, on first run you will be asked which routine to use.
Select "Trinity", generic and belphegor currently don't work and aren't supported any more sadly.
Getting Started

But in short, simply login to Diablo, load db and login, load a profile (will cover separate), enable trinity (will cover separate) under the plugins section, start.
Demonbuddy Crashing/Error
If for any reason you get a crash, not responding etc then please SEARCH first. The amount of info already on these forums covers the majority of all issues that uses come across. Search is here. Or use the search function at the top right.
If search fails you, then close down Diablo and db and retry, failing that then please get a fresh db install. Many cases it's a single file under settings which has corrupt.

What is this ?
There is two timers in db which will kick you from the game, forcing db to create a new game for you. Why ?
Because if you are stuck, then you don't want to be stuck all day now do you
First timer is under: Plugins > Trinity > Advanced > Gold Timer (disable this)

Can I set via a Profile ?
Alternatively you can use this plugin and set within the profiles, if for example you're using YAR to reload profiles after so many runs and want to use a different difficulty.

Once added simply add the below to any of your profiles:
Using Profiles
Profiles are what allow db to do what we want it to do. Farm mat's, farm bosses, farm xp/gold and even quest.
These are created by the community and are therefore advised that all support and requests are posted within the profiles forum/thread.
Simply download any profile you wish to use from; This Forum Here
I like to create a folder within db called "Profiles" and store all my profiles in there.
How do I know which are the best to use ?
Usually the ones with the most views, rated highest and have the newest posts tend to be the best.
To load your new profile, simply login to db and press "Load" and browse to said profile. Once loaded your good to go.
One thing to note is, that some profiles require you to be at a certain stage within the act, ie; unlock certain check points. Please make sure you read the profiles thread fully to ensure the profile will work correctly for you.
Trinity
Trinity is an amazing piece of a plugin which now comes as standard within the db install.
What is it though ?
Basically its the heart of db, and db is the brains. It allows db to fight, loot, stash items, sell items, use health potions, move from aoe etc etc
Without trinity, db wouldn't be where it is today without it.

Please make sure you have the latest trinity, before posting any issues also.
Updating Trinity
The latest version of trinity will always be posted and viewed: Here
Simply download the attachment, extract the folder > go to the plugins folder in db > delete the folder Trinity > move the new extracted folder into the plugins folder
There is however an auto updater that some users have had luck with, with regards to having it auto update. Which can be found: Here
Changing Trinity Settings
You can change trinity settings or any other plugin by doing the below:
Setting Up What To Loot
Open Trinity Settings > Click Items Tab > Click Pickup Tab
(Magic = blue | Rare = yellow)[
Enable as needed:
Looting Gems + Crafting Mats
Simply enable what you require on the bottom of Trinity > Items > Pickup
Select Gems from the drop down, check what mats to loot.
Force Trinity To Sell Items
I use the below settings to sell everything:
Make sure you enable the "trash all ******" checkbox underneath other wise the scoring system will come into affect and stash items that are triggered.
Trinity Salvage Settings
Simply select "SALVAGE" on which ever you wish to salvage if you need crafting mats.
Ensure you've set the item level of the items to loot under "pickup" tab at the top.
See "Setting Up What To Loot" if still unsure. (Magic = blue | Rare = yellow)
Trinity Keeps Stashing Items
Trinity item scoring atm, isn't 100% but the great thing is you can read the below on how to correct this issue. Change Item Rule Set.

This is one of many plugins from rrrix, with the idea that it will log all item information collected whilst botting so that we can perfect the looting options, customize class sets to loot/keep etc

Try and farm these areas if your looking for the below drops:
Act 1
Mad Monarch's Scepter - 1h mace - After killing 10 enemies, you release a Poison Nova that deals 1050–1400% weapon damage as Poison to enemies within 30 yards
Ring of Royal Grandeur - Reduces the number of items needed for set bonuses by 1 (to a minimum of 2)
Pauldrons of the Skeleton King - When receiving fatal damage, there is a chance that you are instead restored to 25% of maximum Life and cause nearby enemies to flee in fear
Golden Gorget of Leoric Amulet - After earning a massacre bonus, 4–6 Skeletons are summoned to fight by your side for 10 seconds
Sanguinary Vambraces bracers - Chance on being hit to deal 1000% of your Thorns damage to nearby enemies
Act 2
Cloak of Deception - DH cloak - Enemy missiles sometimes pass through you harmlessly
Illusionary Boots - you may move unhindered through enemies
Gloves of Worship - Shrine effects last for 10 minutes
Coven's Criterion- You take 45-60% less damage from blocked attacks
Act 3
Burst of Wrath - 2h axe - Killing enemies and destroying objects has a chance to grant 20% of your maximum primary resource
Boots of Disregard - Gain 500 Life Regeneration per second for each second you stand still. This effect stacks up to 8 times
Pride's Fall helm - Your Resource costs are reduced by 30% after not taking damage for 5 seconds
Envious Blade dagger - Gain 100% Critical Hit Chance against enemies at full health
Insatiable Belt - Picking up a Health Globe increases your maximum Life by 5% for 15 seconds, stacking up to 5 times
Overwhelming Desire amulet- Chance on hit to charm the enemy. While charmed, the enemy takes 35% more damage
Act 4
All of the legendary items drop in Act 4 - If you want a specific legendary, I'd advise against farming act4 as the chance is diluted by all other possible legendary item drops.
Act 5
Death's Bargain - Gain an aura of death that deals 750-1000% of your Life per Second to enemies within 20 yards. You no longer regenerate Life
Soulsmasher 2h - When you kill an enemy, it explodes for 500% of your life per kill as damage to all enemies within 20 yards, you no longer benefit from your life per kill
Helltrapper - 7–10% chance on hit to summon a Spike Trap, Caltrops or Sentry
Salvation shield - Blocked attacks heal you and your allies for the amount blocked
Pandemonium Loop - Enemies slain while Feared die in a bloody explosion and cause other nearby enemies to flee in fear

What's this ?
This is one of many plugins from rrrix, with the idea that it will log all item information collected whilst botting so that we can perfect the looting options, customize class sets to loot/keep etc
The bigger picture of this is huge with terms of looting, so please help where you can.

Area Specific Drops
Try and farm these areas if your looking for the below drops:
Act 1
Mad Monarch's Scepter - 1h mace - After killing 10 enemies, you release a Poison Nova that deals 1050–1400% weapon damage as Poison to enemies within 30 yards
Ring of Royal Grandeur - Reduces the number of items needed for set bonuses by 1 (to a minimum of 2)
Pauldrons of the Skeleton King - When receiving fatal damage, there is a chance that you are instead restored to 25% of maximum Life and cause nearby enemies to flee in fear
Golden Gorget of Leoric Amulet - After earning a massacre bonus, 4–6 Skeletons are summoned to fight by your side for 10 seconds
Sanguinary Vambraces bracers - Chance on being hit to deal 1000% of your Thorns damage to nearby enemies
Act 2
Cloak of Deception - DH cloak - Enemy missiles sometimes pass through you harmlessly
Illusionary Boots - you may move unhindered through enemies
Gloves of Worship - Shrine effects last for 10 minutes
Coven's Criterion- You take 45-60% less damage from blocked attacks
Act 3
Burst of Wrath - 2h axe - Killing enemies and destroying objects has a chance to grant 20% of your maximum primary resource
Boots of Disregard - Gain 500 Life Regeneration per second for each second you stand still. This effect stacks up to 8 times
Pride's Fall helm - Your Resource costs are reduced by 30% after not taking damage for 5 seconds
Envious Blade dagger - Gain 100% Critical Hit Chance against enemies at full health
Insatiable Belt - Picking up a Health Globe increases your maximum Life by 5% for 15 seconds, stacking up to 5 times
Overwhelming Desire amulet- Chance on hit to charm the enemy. While charmed, the enemy takes 35% more damage
Act 4
All of the legendary items drop in Act 4 - If you want a specific legendary, I'd advise against farming act4 as the chance is diluted by all other possible legendary item drops.
Act 5
Death's Bargain - Gain an aura of death that deals 750-1000% of your Life per Second to enemies within 20 yards. You no longer regenerate Life
Soulsmasher 2h - When you kill an enemy, it explodes for 500% of your life per kill as damage to all enemies within 20 yards, you no longer benefit from your life per kill
Helltrapper - 7–10% chance on hit to summon a Spike Trap, Caltrops or Sentry
Salvation shield - Blocked attacks heal you and your allies for the amount blocked
Pandemonium Loop - Enemies slain while Feared die in a bloody explosion and cause other nearby enemies to flee in fear
