anyone have the best build to take down ghom fast? Please help. Thank you

WotHF:FoF, Sweeping winds, EP:Flesh is weak, Fire ally, IS:Forbidden palace, MoR : Trangression

Furnace, Inna 4set (helm, chest, pants : for unity), witching hour, aughild (shoulder + bracers), Mara, RoRG+SoJ. (Trying to stack IAS, +holy, +elite.)

It takes me around 25 sec on t6.

I just started botting ghom on my monk today too, so I am pretty sure there will be better builds.

P.S. I guess adding a cain set (gloves+boots) would also help alot.

what about for passives??

Unity, Combination strike, fleet footed, beacon of ytar. (The first two is a must since it is a nice damage boost, next two are just fillers.)

Anyway, the key is using the furnace proc as often as possible. ( With high AS, you bring ghom's hp down to 50% in the first 5 seconds. )

I believe only way to can kill t6 ghom within 25 seconds as a monk, is using furnace. Lightning monk, fire monks all have terrible damage compared to other classes and have a hard time breaking 40 seconds.

Now if there was a way to adjust the combat file so that it only starts using spirit spenders when ghom's hp drops below say 20%, something like 15~20 seconds would be possible.

could use some gear advice.

I have a 7% proc furnace with 26xx dps, dex vit
and a 6% proc furnace with 28xx dps, dex, socket

assuming I should give the 7% to enchantress, and use the 6% myself, correct??

the other option would be to roll the vit to socket and use the 7% with lower dps.

Also, I have a strong lightning and fire elite dmg set, ranked top 20 monks worldwide which utilizes sun keeper and an ele weap. Would fire or lightning builds be viable in t6 without maras? I can do t5ish but cant survive t6. Haven't tried my furnace yet though.

Lastly, is fleet footed worth it? Not much of a run in campaign mode, at most it would take off 2-5 seconds.

ok man, just read this post that i have already posted here cause all of these people are giving you bad advice. Everything is explained in this guide, just read it.

http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonb...96-nsk-guide-becoming-lightning-monk-god.html

your not going to use unity passive cause there are no other players to get a bonus from..lol.. that is an obvious one! Don't use unity. next, you are not going to use fleet footed because your going to be standing still fighting Ghom...you don't need movement speed. And i have no clue wha ta "furnace build" is , but im sure its shit compared to everything in my guide. My monk kills Ghom on t6 with the setup prescribed in my guide in 43 seconds.Killing Ghom in 25 seconds would result in too many games per hour and you getting locked out of games by blizzard. Stop giving out bad information.

Well i don't even have a Furnace but i'd say a furnace build would be one molded around having the Furnace weapon which is very badass.

25 second kills would not give you too many games per hour and get your locked out by blizzard. If i can run 58+ games per hour chest and not get locked out there isnt any reason why killing Ghom in 25 secs would be anything different.

There is just too much stupidity in your response it makes me sad.

1. There are lot of WDs and DHs that are botting 24/7, killing t6 ghom in 6 seconds or even less. My DH, running at near 60 GPH with 7 second ghom kill, has been running fine 24/7 for last 2 months. (Although I occasionally switch to bounties/rifts for fun or when I get stuck with that 42002 error.)

2. If you need 40 seconds to kill ghom, many would agree it would be better to drop the difficulty level for efficiency.

3. A lot of support monks that run t6 speed clear parties, swap to furnace for killing rift guardians when there are no mobs nearby to EP. Furnace with FoF is really efficient for chunking off the health of boss mobs.

4. Unity works with inna 4-set mantras & companion since 2.0* or something, giving you a 15% damage boost.

5. I mentioned that unity, combination strike is recommended, and other 2 are just fillers since there really is no passive to grab, especially if you have mara. Fleet footed is nice since it drops maybe 1 second heading towards ghom.

6. Let me quote you. "Stop giving out bad information".

1. I guess the one with the socket would be better for you to use (Since putting a diamond in it would basically put the proc on the same level.) Although I am not sure if emerald might be faster, since with the furnace build, most of the time is spent on trying to drain the last 20% of ghom's hp.

2. Fire and lightning builds are viable for bounties/rifts, for killing trash/elites. But it takes forever (near 40 seconds) to kill t6 ghom. And even for clearing bounties/rifts, I think rimeheart+frostburn builds do it better. (Although it would be very very hard to bot.)

3. If you don't have a mara, I guess you should probably use passives that gives you survivability. But if you do, there really is no other passive that helps killing ghom faster, so I would choose fleet footed.

**UPDATEd**

Found this to be the most efficient T6 Build and gear for me. Average kill takes 28 seconds from the time i zone in.
Average 3.8 legs per hour
4.3m gold/hr
1.3b exp/hr

Gear:
Aughilds Shoulders with 8% cdr and Wrists (20%fire dmg)
Fire ele dmg Andys with 5%cc and 7%atkspeed
Unity with 7% atk speed
RoRG with 7% atk speed
Cains Pants and Boots
Blackthornes Chest and Belt
Furnace 6% with elite dmg gem
any decent amulet with atk speed

Enchantress:
Attack speed, +armor skills
Furnace 7% with +dmg gem and atk speed
unity with +7% atk speed
nagelring with 7% atk speed
smoking thurible

Build:
Way of the Hundred Fists - FoF (blazing fists sucked)
EP:Flesh is weak
Fire ally
IS:Forbidden palace
MoR : Trangression
Breath of Heaven: Blazing Wrath

Passives:
Combination Strike
One With Everything
Sieze the Initiative
Guiding Light

Paragon Priorities: just cap atk speed, 10:1 ratio on crit % to crit dmg
Offense: atk spd> cdr> crit dmg> crit

The furnace proc doesn't benefit from + fire sadly. But it does benefit from + elite.

Anyway, I'll be looking into the trinity combat file to check if the bot can recognize how much health ghom has left.
If we could
- let bot start using spenders only when ghom's hp gets below a certain point
- bot swaps to differerent gear, say fury + odin (not SoH, since we will be using FoF for furnace procs),
then we could probably reach 15 seconds t6 ghom, which would be amazing (for monk standards)

Might be possible with a time-based swap (for example, swaps weapons 8-10 seconds after engaging or using a specific skill/potion.

i use a delayed epiphany + blinding flash over is/boh but i havent done ghom in weeks

I switched fire ally to seven sided strike (holy) and added
'CurrentTarget.HitPoints <= 160000000' condition to SSS in trinity monk combat file. This drops few seconds.

I also noticed that the bot doesn't cast EP right away at the start of the fight. Does anyone know how to fix this? I even tried replacing it with
if (!UseOOCBuff && SpellHistory.TimeSinceUse(SNOPower.Monk_ExplodingPalm) > TimeSpan.FromSeconds(8))
{
return new TrinityPower(SNOPower.Monk_ExplodingPalm, 14f, Vector3.Zero, -1, CurrentTarget.ACDGuid, 1, 1);
}
but it still only casts it when ghom's hp is at 50%.

i only noticed that with certain version of ghom profile depending on where you start combat, seemed like it tried to cast it too far away so it appears like it skips ep till the 2nd cycle

Oh wow, I adjusted the combat starting position, and now it EPs properly at the start. Thank you so much!

lol 20 second kills only got me 50 gph, please tell me how you get even 40 gph with your lightning build

Let me say it again. Stop spreading wrong information. Most people running ghom profile stay within 50~60 games per hour and not get 42002. Even the creator of the profile, Kevin Spacey, also runs at 55 gph. (You can check the link where he ran 55 gph for 35 hours)
