Wondering whether or not to buy new membership another month.

So my 1 month membership I paid for is coming up on expiring. The first couple of weeks I used the bot, it botted 24/7 just fine and every time I came back tot he computer it was working perfectly and I would come back to loot and be happy.

However as of recently, every time I come back to the computer the demonbuddy bot is just logged out at the "enter demonbuddy key" and my player is just sitting afk in game.

I understand there is issues to fix and people cannot be impatient, however this is not a free bot, we are paying our money. Every time I see someone post about problems they are having, the thread just gets locked and a forum moderator will just post on it , "If you have a problem please post in the support thread," which feels like a slap in the face and makes me feel as if no one really cares.

Originally I liked demonbuddy and was just going to pay for a lifetime key at the end of the month, but now I feel like they don't really care about my money. "Oh its just xx dollars it dosen't matter," is not a valid excuse.

I really need a good reason to renew my membership. There is a bunch of free bots out there that are working better right now, but I wan't to believe demonbuddy can be better. I held off on posting this for a while because I didn't want retaliation against me, but I am posting my honest opinion now. I am stuck at a decision.

or use YAR and don't be bothered by these minor issues

Or you can think of it this way: "Nobody owes me anything, if I don't like the product, I can just fuck off and be on my merry way, living life thinking I, the consumer, am king, is probably going to leave me a lonely miserable asshole one day and I wouldn't really want that."

This mentality is actually the problem. The consumer is king. If you are not making your product for your consumer then why are you making it? While this may not be the place to voice concerns about bugs, your comment is way off.

With that aside though. If you have NOT posted in the support thread outlining the issues you are having how would you expect them to improve the product if they are not aware of the issues you are having. While we as consumers are potentially "the king" we also have a responsibility to help better the product we are using before we go off complaining asking for reasons to stick around. If you can't take the time to outline your issues in the support thread than maybe you shouldn't renew. You are definitely not doing your part.

Interesting points of views. Since I only bot 6 hours on Saturdays and 6 hours on Sundays, I only ever buy the $1 option every Friday night. So, to me, if something doesn't quite work right, I don't get that upset over a $1 loss ($1.38 USD). I do understand the OP's concern though, yet I also see how it can be a bit invalid too. I would be all in the OP's favor if he/she bought the product, tried it, had issues with it, posted these issues in a respectful/meaningful way, and was getting the door slammed in his/her face every time. However, this is not the case.

To the OP (johnedwards): Post your technical issue(s) on the Support forum. Patiently wait for a reply. If your 1 month subscription runs out before you can test a support response, just buy the $1 option. You'll have 3 full days to test and post your results. If after a few times of this you still get nowhere and customer support is as bad as you're describing, there's your answer.

I understand your concern, but you have to admit, the bot is pretty damn awesome. You mention the free bots, but you also need to be careful if these bots are writing into Diablo's memory or not. Sure, there are some issues with DB, but overall for me the crashes and what not are minimal and I check remotely while I am at work to make sure it is still running. There are a few options (YAR) been one of them that will assist with your problem.

Also, the devs here are listening to people, but you need to also realise that its not easy to do what they do and they have lives outside of DB also. I think just been a little patient is the key. Not having a go at you OP, just try YAR or a remote connection to periodically check your bot and I think it will ease your mind whether you want to purchase or not. Myself, I purchased a life time key even though I am new to all of this and I have not regretted it one bit.

Cheers.

I bought a month and it's been fine. Recently with the Auth Server issues I'll probably get one more month, drag it out, and wait for 2.1. Lots of Legs, lots of Paragon levels, so it's been a good trade for what, $8?

Only thing that has been frustrating lately is the Auth Server issues, seems like the only support you get is a series of canned responses ("post your log," "flush DNS," "fresh install") followed by a good amount of stalling and then the thread gets closed eventually whether the op likes it or not.

I have been getting logged out of my demonbuddy randomly a lot the past few days as well, which didn't happen more than maybe one time the first month I bought demonbuddy. Two nights in a row of ~3 hr sessions, and then planned to go afk for about 5-6 hours today and got logged off after 1 hour... just happened to me again after about 20 minutes.

Having said all that, even with all the frustrations of sessions ending randomly... the value is just too much to pass up. ~$10 a month, and possibly less if you know you are going to be playing d3 long-term is too much to good of value to pass up. Would still buy even if I knew I'd get randomly stopped out of my bot every day.

auth servers aint even affected me, thats the bizarre thing.

use yar for relogging,

use support for help,

read http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonb...uddy-ros-faq-getting-started.html#post1460880 for tips

and if you still think the "free" ones are better, and better than rrrix and his uber profiles and contributions, then dont let the door hit u on the way out

I can ensure you the authentication issue is effect ALOT of people not just one or two just look at the support forums..

I don't trust ANY reclogging scripts I don't care who made them. We shouldn't have to use a third party plugin to keep our bots running.

Support for daemon buddy is the worse support I've ever encounter. If it wasn't for the actual bot its self and the great profiles and plugins from people like RIXX then I wouldn't be using this bot- its the only thing going for it.

The bot as a core is great- prob the best there is. But right not with out the use of extra tools the bot cant function for most people with out user interaction- so its pointless.

So right now I wouldn't spend a cent on this bot until they sort there authentication servers out, I was actually going to purchase 3x hearthbuddy keys- but whent with hearthcrawler for this reason even know hearthbuddy is safer.

IMO don't spent a

Is there a way to have authentication servers spread around, say I want to host an authentication server, would I be able to or would the whole not in Germany cause legal issues down the road?

I have had one crash since using the bot, and I have had it now for about 2 weeks, but I don't really want to use a relogger. I guess some peoples configurations can also cause crashes, it seems its not always the servers.

They wont ever hand over there authentication servers.. Ever.

Why not just get a lifetime session?

Then you don't have to worry about downtime over a limited membership time.

Hell, sometimes I come home after 15 hours and it will be paused in town because it filled up the two empty pages I left for it in my stash. Other times I will leave it running for 6 hours come home to see that I haven't even earned a leg or level because it was detached from auth server.

Either way, it's time that I didn't have to sit in front of my PC for 1000s of hours to find the gear I want, which is how I played D3V.

Not saying they aint effecting people, simply saying i aint been effected at all :/

Relogger is fine, ive used it since launch of d3, and even more so since rrrix took it over.

Ill be honest though, half the issues i see on the forums i dont experience, now i dont know if thats because i know what im doing or people are just that moronic and idiotic that they havent a clue what theyre even doing themselves.

Plenty of us around who help, i may be more blunt to some of the nabs who ask though stupid questions mind.

But, wouldnt it just be easier to buy lifetime ?

It's how some people are. They want everything for granted. Even when they are offered solutions, they are offensive about it. They have to get down to a mere mortal level and do some extra stuff on their own, that can not happen!
I'm also one of those who doesn't have any issue with the bot. Of course, lately it did crash a few times, but in a matter of minutes it was already back in game. And I didn't even need to be at home for that to happen. Magic!

For example, this Thecamel guy complains about how bad the bot or the servers are in half the threads I read. In one of them I pointed him in the right direction for solving his issue and I got some monkey sarcastic reply. Just not worth trying to help the spoiled kids these days.

Good luck everyone!

Really yellowpie.

Please link me to a single thread where I have asked for help ? could you have made up any more bullshit ? even the thread your referring too..
