I've got some WoW issues I need tech support help with, but I was just wondering if there is any risk with asking for support in regards to them discovering I'm botting. Sorry if it's a stupid question, just thought I'd ask.

I suppose it would depend on what issue you are asking for help with, what you were doing when you asked for help, and what you were doing when they got around to helping you.

So in other words, don't risk it.

My bot deleted 20 balanced Trilliumbars but i want it back.. I contact the support and botted while talking :D He doesnt say anything special.. Just said that my item is sold to a vendor and i should scan my computer for a virus :)

So its your decision - I just wanted to test it ;)

Well I need tech support, not item recovery. I need to post on the forums and they'll ask me to do diagnostics and post logs and shit.

any other details might lead to a better answer. your request is very vague.

Well I'm speaking in general as I just wanted a general answer of whether it was safe or not to ask for tech support on the blizz forums, where they almost always ask for logs and the like. My current issues are battle.net constantly disconnecting and reconnecting, and a memory leak issue that only occurs during pet battles while using the 32 bit client (I have no idea what I would say if they asked me why I was using a 32 bit client, pretty much dead give away that I'm botting).

There are tons of reasons why you would use the 32 bit client over the 64 bit one. They're not going to call you a botter for using a 32 bit executable lol.

Well personally I don't know of any reasons to be using 32 over 64, either way that's not my issue.

You could've probably skipped talking to Blizzard by using the Automated Item Restoration Service.
Or was the deleted items not covered by it?

It's safe. Just don't AFK around the time your question is being answered. (they give you an estimated respond time)
Anything in between or after is safe, unless you're being reported and such.

I don't think people are grasping the concept that I'm looking for tech support, as in on the official forums, with logs and shit. I'm not trying to talk to a GM in game or use item recovery... Thanks for the help but I think I'll just find out the hard way myself.

hey man its cool , my friend opened a ticket 20 mins after a 5 hr botting streak, logged for the night and awakened to his problem being resolved. :)

It's safe or almost safe. When gathering diagnostic info (running some diag tools) just keep Honorbuddy closed (exited) :) Your account shouldn't be banned for any HB's signs if you don't use it on this account.
32 bit you prefer because you "had some 64 bit crashes before" or "32 bit gives me more fps". You are not an expert, just a customer, so you may have any "strange preferences" ;D
And tech support is not the same as bothunter or security system developer, so he does not try to find (or even can't) HB using evidence in your logs or diagnostic info.

A lot of people have b.net connection drop issue. No one really knows why :( But for me enabled OQueue addon makes these drops much more often so I disable addon when don't need it.
