Hey, I just bought GB and I couldn't find anything related in the Guides section about how to actually start...

Is that youtube tutorial necessary? Shouldn't my GB window look different.... like with a place to login and stuff?

make a new Gb installation
open WoW log in the game with your char and then open Gb
 
I only unrar-ed what I could find on the download page... that's the whole "installation". By installing, I understand there should be some sort of "setup.exe", but there wasn't.

no there isnt a setup exe
right click on the "bee" file and then "run as admin"
but before this open wow and log in with your char
 
The fix is easy. Just right click "Gatherbuddy_" standard or Goldseller, and click "Run as Adminstrator"

Hope it helped you out m8.

And I did that.. I logged into WoW, I have admin privileges, I ran the file as admin, yet I'm still getting the blank buttons.

Hm Weird since I got the exact message and running it as a admin worked for me. Try to re-install it And then run it as adminstrator ? (I even have to run it as adminstrator everytime, if I dont I get the message you're gettin.)
 
There was a gatherbuddy.exe process still opened in the Process list.. from the Task Manager. I ended it and it's fixed now.
For future reference.
