42002, Blizzard and Bots

While I am sure most of you are watching both the general post and the support - I figured I'd post my finding on both pages

So here we go.

Last night I decided to test the 42002 error a bit closer - most of us were hoping it was a throttle

Here was my results:

I logged into a legit account (one that has only been played by hand) - set up a macro while sleeping
The macro did Resume Game -> wait 15 secs -> leave game -> wait 10 secs -> resume game.
I ran this macro for 10 hours - the GPH should have been right around 100-130. after 10 hours no error 42002.

At that point made a brand new VM (Virtual Machine) -> switched my *** server (not the usual one I've been using) -> loaded up d3 + dbuddy -> logged into account that I've been using for botting
Ran ghom profile for a little over an hour at around 48-49 gph - boom error 42002.

So at this point these are my theories:

The error is related to some kind of account flag
The error is a throttle that takes into account what content your running

Next thing I am going to test is taking random 3-5 minute breaks every 30-45 minutes - I'll let you guys know what I find

All my testing has been done on NA servers - my location is also NA

you should try the macro test with the bot account

This is concrete enough for me. I'm gonna hold back on the botting for awhile. Keep it up, you're doing god's work

Why does no mod comment on this?

I really don't think it has anything to do with DB being detected by warden or anything of that nature.
Unless you work for blizzard - its all just speculation for now.

Until I can get some more testing done, I really can't say with any confidence.

It isn't DB being detected, it's accounts that have been creating 1200+ games a day for weeks on end being flagged or throttled, probably.

10h are not enough to get this error on a barely played account. im very sure this error is not a flag in anyway despite what the gms are telling you. they are clueless as always.
try 24h with your macro or 48h and i bet you will get your error.

regular player creating this amount of games too, look alkaizer,moldran,kingkongor...alkaizer spamming short bounties all day long since weeks and then he start new game...

and i have max 500-750 games per day
short bounties result in like 30-40g/h not 80g/h 24/7 like ghom.

Interesting - a friend of mine started botting recently after not botting since pre-ros
Hes been basically running ghom profile 24/7 t6 dh (312 paragon -> 467) in about a week-ish.

According to him hes not getting any errors and has been running 24/7 @ about 64 GPH consistently

Another note - pausing the bot at random intervals seems to work - I've just been timing it with my smoke breaks.
no error 42002 @ about 68 GPH with game timer set @ 2-4

I put in a ticket and this is what they had to say.

"Thanks for contacting us today about getting error 42002.

Currently this error is related to multiboxing. Anytime you try to login with multiple accounts it will provide this error. Currently it's best to just run 1 account at a time and not together. Currently it's unknown to us if it's going to be worse later on for multiboxing, or if it's just a bug right now. I'd highly suggest just running one for right now and later on it may work again."

Total tracking time: 4h 4m 21s
Total games (approx): 245 [60.16 per hour]

Not a single 42002 with giving it a 3-5m pause every hour-ish

We're screwed lol, all the people that posted in the fourms have their GHOM-prepared items ready. GG.

Another quick update:

Total tracking time: 8h 1m 54s
Total games (approx): 482 [60.01 per hour]

Still running strong with 3-5 minute breaks randomly every hour
