Thinking of bying - how good is this bot? (Bought it, wont work)

At the moment im using another bot and by the looks of it the makers vision is very different from, well, sanity... So i was thinking of another bot and soon found this.

Questions:
How good is it?
How well are different skills used/configured?
What parts are lacking?

Ignoring the questions, find another bot with this sort of activity 24/7 and then decide for yourself which bot seems to be the most popular/effective.
 
My Opinion:


How good is it?
The bot itself can't do anything. If it wasn't for the community the bot itself would be useless unless you have the time and the know how to make plugins and profiles yourself.
So the bot can only be as good as the profiles available out there.

Fortunately we have some very devoted devs who create plugins (like Trinity) and profiles.

What parts are lacking?
  1. Currently the bot isn't 100% afkable either due to bugs in the profiles, the bot itself or trinity (which is absolutely a must have)
  2. It has a memory leak and will lag after a couple of hours running
  3. It's so easy to mess things up so you need to make a clean install


How well are different skills used/configured?
Trinity is doing a good job

The Buddy bots are the best out there. Once you figure out how it works, profiles you like, etc, its easy to use.

Best Advice: Try it out. Buy a 3 day key (If they still offer them), check it out, see how you like it & the features.. If you like it go back and buy an unlimited key.
 
Take a peek in my garage and one may notice "it isnt about money anymore" but im VERY picky about what i choose to support.

I used the "Pirox-bot" in WoW and was quite happy with it untill the updates slowed down and eventually the dev was devoured by blizzards flesh-eating suits.

Configuring isnt an issue nor is using mods/plugins etc.
I spent my last year or so in WoW trying to maximize my bot efficancy down to the smallest details. I played to bot. The game went poop so the botting became my reason to play.

Well, you've convinced me.
8 more hours till im back on solid ground... If im at 30,000 feet, arent i supposed to be closer to those frigging satellites etc, yet i can barely post or check my mail, let alone play >_<
 
Been using it a few weeks, While it does take alot of tinkering to make it fully work. it's the best bot out there. To give you an example, i awoke today to find 7 legendaries and 20 caches in my stash.

As profiles improve, it will only get better. be patient on that one.

oh no other bot compares imo.
 
OP sounds like a russian spy at blizz.

Bot runs Rifts, Bounty's, bosses, acts, whatever you want it to do, someone in the community will make a profile for it. Read through the forums and you will see how helpful the Developers and Community are at making a successful project. You won't be disappointed.

1. My bot has been running for 47 hours now, I have checked on it 3 times, have leveled 7 hours to paragon 150+ (charged service i offer)
2. No it dose not. Your PC/installed is screwed ? or are you still running XP
3. Yep sure clean install for easy new update you use.

As for your 1st post.. The bot dose EVERYTHING with out it, Trinity would not function... Think as trinity as the driver and the bot as the car.... Both are very good..


With all that being said..

This bot could be SOOO MUCH more if the devs gave a shit about it.. but they wont until the pros come back (wich they wont until BOE leaves the game)
 
Afaik, DB is the best option for botting D3. Even if it's far from perfect, it's really nice. It's really great on the basic stuff (kill a boss over and over, clear a non-randomized zone over and over), still usable on a bit more advanced things (like exploring random maps to finish bounties) and still in experimental stage for rifts (hopefully not that long)

Combat wise, it's really great, and Trinity is an open-source plugin which means that you have a shot at tweaking it (or using the tweak from someone else on forum), if it doesn't fight as you'd want. But both for my barb & wizard, Trinity was spot on: it doesn't waste time by overkilling things, has aimbot skills (was quite fun to watch on the wizard where any trash getting within the screen border would take a fireball 1-shot near-instantly) and manages its health well. It's only terrible (but not everytime) against some ground effect where it sometimes won't step in the lightning balls at 100% HP but runs head first into arcane beams at 30% HP

Well yeah, the tinkering and tweaking are what makes it great. The more options the more possibilities to set it up to do specifically what you want it to. I often ask for more crap to be implemented :D
 
The bot is wonderful, just a lot of kinks right now with the profiles. I'd wait another month before you purchase. Definitely worth investment though.

Here are some instructions:

Download DB (which you already did)
*Pretty sure the DB comes with trinity and questtools now, so no need to download those.
*Create a Plugin folder in the DB file (if not created) this will be the area where all your plugins go (if you decide to download some)
*Create a Routines folder. This is where all your routines will go.
*Download any routine (the hot one right now is rifter. Place this file in the routine folder.

*Open DB while Diablo 3 is open.
*Go to the plugin tab on DB, make sure quest tools and trinity are checked.
*Push the load button, select the routine you want to use, usually a .xml file.
*Push start, if it prompts you to select a profile, select Trinity.

You could buy access for $1 for a full 24 hours of botting to try it out and find out for your self if its worth it or not
