Hi there,

I am just wondering what are the methods/items that will increase Magic Find % now?

1. Helm with Gem
2. 3 sets of Cain set items
3. Legendary items

I know ring like "Band of Untold Secret" has MF on it, can you guys please share other items name?

Greatly appreciate it!!!

To be honest there is VERY little reason to wear MF gear now. It only has 10% effectiveness on Legendaries (which are all that really matter) and it is Addative not Multiplicative. So if your in a T2 rift, which is giving you a 62% increase to leg drops, your Cain set will only add 5 to that.

Cain's set. It can roll really good and 3 set gives 50% XP/MF. I got helm with Dex/Vit/5% Crit and socket for my monk, as well as trifecta gloves and 2 socket/dex/vit/AR pants. Took me maybe 20 crafts for all 3 pieces, and maybe 3-4 rerolls per item to get good stats I need. If you have ring from Act 1 bounties you just need 1 item.

As others have said though, +MF% from items really doesn't do crap for you. If you have a +40% MF ring it'll only be +4% for Legs. This isn't very helpful now when you can wear quad-fecta items in their place which will increase your torment level effectiveness, dps, toughness, etc.

Quadfecta == (+Primary, +%CritC, +%CritD, +%Elemental/Skill)

Increasing your torment level, and running rifts, is pretty much the only way to increase Leg Droprate.

Essentially, it is best to just spam Normal difficulty bounties for tons of higher Torment level neph rifts being run manually with a full house for even more MF for Legs.

Thank you for the info, I think you mean the ring from act 1 bounties will reduce the requirement by 1, so I will still need 2 sets of cain :)

Thanks

Thank you

So if I have 100% MF which is 10% more darys, and if I'm inside a rift its doubled so 20% more darys. Everytime you find 10 legendaries I've found 12. Sounds like a good thing to me.

So there is no ammy that's with MF?

From what I've read MF not really worth the effort now. It was significantly nerfed in effectiveness and is borderline useless. Unlike ye olden days of D2 where MF was crucial.

I just want to point something out that hasn't been mentioned here;

Magic Find (MF) besides the fact it's been nerfed a great amount since RoS launched, is actually a horrible stat to stack now. I can go into the greatest detail on why, but I will just leave it with something simple. Smart Loot, IE loot that you obtain will try to base it's stats off what your highest stats are to a certain amount, will make your legendaries that DO drop, have a much higher chance to contain Magic Find as a stat instead of something more useful like Resistance.

Buffs however do not count toward your pool of stats. What I mean by that is say you have 0% Magic Find and you find a shrine that gives you Magic Find, internally you still have 0% Magic Find. So really, it's better to make sure you always have XP bonus from Pools of Reflection, and max Speed Bonus via Paragon levels and such, then once you find a Magic Find shrine, don't use any other shrines, make use of that buff as much as possible for a better chance of legendaries that actually matter.

Thank you for the nice explanation. That makes sense and I will not try to stack it anymore :)
