I got an advice from some one on this forum that you should never have your bot account do any form of transaction in the AH. Is this necessary? If so, should I take it even further, by using fake names and addresses when signing up for individual accounts with blizzard? Thanks in advance.

Fake names and addresses? Perhaps a bit too far. You should pay with untraceable funds or game cards, that would help your anonymity.I imagine the IP would be more telling than the name and address.

I disagree. I have always used fake names for my accounts, never using any traceable payment option either. Two of my accounts got banned recently and when I appealed on one of the accounts I got it reduced solely for the reason "someone might be botting from your IP". I think fake names add a layer of security.

You can always change your IP. Some network providers provide dynamic IPs. But, my question is is it worth having your botting account deal with AH transactions?

Im selling on AH every day, with the same account as im botting with everyday. Just dont go there and put 500 stacks of ghost iron ore every day. No more then 100 items is my rule.

I feel like a broken record, but with anything w/ honor buddy you can get banned for doing 1 AH Transaction, or you can never get banned and do 1000 AH transactions per day. On a good raid night, I'll sell over 2000 auctions. It's all relative. but i have seen people saying the 100-200 mark is the sweet spot

Maybe 9 years ago I toyed with gold farming by hand and glider. I started some EU accounts and played pretty much during their down time. I had a lot of unrestricted access with almost no competition. I used fake names and addresses, found it was a pain to keep up with. Bottom line is I have lost the accounts because I can't remember the names I used. Hell I even looked up real names and addresses in the UK for authenticity. I am too lazy these days.
