[Party Plugin] SimpleFollow - Multi-Bot Party Plugin

The hotspot is not simplefollow or db, it's something trinity does.. Mine has ran for over 30hours now w/o a problem doing the edit I did, all acts. I do not know what the hotspots are actually used for, but I've been monitoring the bots after I changed them and they have not had a single problem related to any hotspot. Might be something rrrix can remove from trinity in future versions if it is no longer used for anything and just causes a problem.

-Also what rrrix was saying about editing that file could break it. That is true, but that is true of nearly every DB file, settings, profiles, etc.. Nearly every file you edit can break your bot in some way. You just have to know what you did, and if it doesnt work, change it back, if you cant remember the changes then put the default file back, or delete the plugin(or whatever your messing with) and reinstall fresh. In my opinion its not that big of a deal if you are fixing something to have go back to default.. Takes a min or 2 to reinstall a plugin or something, and if I totally get everything jacked up it takes me 5-10min to trash the whole db folder and reinstall everything fresh and reconfig everything.

I am using the latest stable version of db(not the beta), and the latest version of trinity, and yes the changes I posted fixed my problems for me.

Prior to the changes I made:
-Leader and followers would basically run in slow motion.. probably 25% of normal game speed
-Lag spikes for 3-7 seconds
-Flip flopping / back&forth pacing to hotspots
-Followers getting distracted, standing around, getting stuck a lot on nothing.

I deleted ezupdater and questtools out of my FOLLOWERS db folders. Your followers are not running quests, they are for assisting your leader. Therefore I dont see a reason in having them also running questtools. Questtools was not working in conjunction with my simplefollow and making my followers try to do their own thing. I removed the ezupdater from the followers so it wouldnt reinstall questtools.. Yes - you can just disable them from the plugin windows, but since I use RYAR with force enable all plugins, it wouldnt work for me since my relogger would reenable it, so I just deleted them since they are unneeded on my followers.

I changed the value of hotspots in an attempt to get it to stop doing it since I wasnt not sure how to completely disable hotspots.

Honestly though, I think there are still some problems with simplefollow/db using high memory and bogging the system down. BUT, those are issues that rrrix with need to address. I am simply trying to provide a temporary solution. Several people have been asking me about this and those changes worked to get mine running smooth and stable again running a 4bot team.
 
Guys how do we tweak this for the followers to only stay in town and leave game after leader leaves too ?

Looks like I'm not crazy with the Flip flopping problems, phew :)

Minus the slow-mo and lag spikes, my DBs all exihibit the same problems as you. This is extremely apparent in any Core of Arreat profile.
A follower can actually just stop following and look confused, and try to path directly to the leader disregarding any terrain limitations. During this period looting is also omitted.

I think the bandaid fixes you have are helpful, but like you said, the root of the problem remains for rrrix to take a look at when he gets the time. Much stuff is probably on his to-do horizon with RoS and a somewhat underprepared DB.

Currently my biggest concern is the ~1-2 second resume/leave games (extremely laggy too) by the followers who can't seem to leave party. This seems like something that might be a little on the unsafe side detection-wise.

With the buffs to Rifts, blizzard is really defining how the game should be played. Hopefully this limits the set of issues that might come up as those two will be the focus of any development.

In terms of Rifts, it seems that there is a finite number of maps and a finite number of actorSNO for the portals (recycled). Not sure if random dungeon will be good here or not. I digress.

The fixes which are mentioned above with editing Tvark to delete other plugins do not eliminate the performance issues which I have these days.

Before I upgraded to the latest versions of DB, Trinity and SimpleFollow I never had any issues. I am not using any other plugins and at the moment I struggle to figure out which plugin causes these massive lags or if the problem is just related to DB.
 
something with teleporting to leader is wrong - sometimes followers trying to teleport to another followe instead of teleporting to a leader
 
As I stated before: I'm just trying stuff as well to improve performance until the developer can fix this issues at hand, but he is busy helping people with spelldelays in trinity.. haha (Thats a joke, dont get all mad rrrix) :) I believe Im speaking for everyone (including myself) that we would much rather have a fix for the program then a rig job from other members. It seems like simplefollow just needs a total overhaul. I was running smooth as well prior to the diablo 2.0 patch when everything got changed.

Some of the issues that need to be addressed:
- Lag/Performance issues
- Hotspots
- Followers attempting to teleport to leader even when they are following the leader. Then they get "Player too close"
- Followers teleporting or zoning then just stand around for a while not attacking or moving as if they dont know what to do
- Bots NOT disbanding party when they need to.. (Sometimes during a relog or d/c) followers get stuck in a game, leader is in his own game and followers keep resuming game with eachother rather then joining the leader. Also sometimes leader relogs, he is in the party but has lost leader privileges so he can't create game, just keeps getting a message that only the leader can create the game.
- My bot will not invite player friend 3. If it is a new game my leader invites all 3 players, but when player 3 gets a dc or relogs, he never gets invited back to the party. Everyday when I get up in the morning, or get home from work, I goto my leader and hit the button to invite friend 3 so he can rejoin the team. I have done a fresh install on a new computer and still have this issue not inviting friend 3. Friend 3 is sending the command to the leader because the leader is opening the friends list, just not pressing the button to invite friend 3. He just opens and closes the friends list until I manually hit the invite button. I have been begging for help with this issue since 2.0 stuff.. :(

It appears simple follow is one of the culprits for R-Yar crashing every hour. Doesn't seen to happen, or not as much anyways when it's deleted or disabled

I don't use the SF plugin but i do experience crashes now and then with R-Yar

Followers getting stuck for no reason, even when leader is just few steps ahead of them. (I guess that might be part of the hotspot problem)
 
Is it possible to tell the followers to drop legendaries they loot for the leader to pick up and stash?

The whole point of having multiple bots is the following:
-Concentrating all loot from all 4 bots into one account.
-EXP & Gold bonus from having a full team
-Being able to power level any account with any of the other accounts.

If you could tell the followers to specify what loot to always drop that'd be amazing. Then you could easily farm several times the amount of legendaries per hour due to the 400% chance of having a legendary drop. Just wondering...it might already do this?

No, i would think that would be impossible and would cause a looting loop... For example, follower 1 drops a leg item, what would stop follower 2 from picking it up (looting it) thinking it was a drop from a monster and then he drops it and follower1 or follower3 picks it back up thinking its a drop.? Nothing would designate the followers not to pick the item back up. When 1 player drops a legendary item all bots/followers attempt to pickup that item. You would need a real complex item looting or plugin to not to pickup a legendary item matching the exact item properties that was dropped or something like that to stop followers from relooting.

Besides for items to be "good" for you leader, all your followers would need to have to be the same class or atleast the same primary attribute (Like monks and demonhunters, or wiz and wd, etc) unless you wanted to use the mystic forge on everything.

Probably best just to build up all 4 characters.. = Faster killing + higher ep/h + higher Lp/h
 
i think leader should invite party members when he is still in menu - now theyre doing it in game so followers just lose some loot from start

is there any solution for this (i just set WaitTimer in profile - so its working)

- and one more - it would be really great if first follwers will leave game - it prevent from disbanding party

It's possible, while legendaries are unidentified all bots loot as always but after identify legendaries bots can drop legendaries to the ground and target account pick up all identified legs, It maybe amazing for rush 1 account with another 3 bots.

What I am saying, I think they still will loot if it is Id'd or not.. Easy way to check, drop an ID'd leg on the ground in a 4 bot game during the 4hr window when it can be picked up and I bet all four of the bots will try to loot it. The same bot that you drop it from may even pick it back up. BUT, as I have never tried it, I dont know for sure, could be totally wrong, i just get such a high amount of gear i let it go to the character who picks it up. But if you can make that work for you then great.

You need to use MoveToActor in the profile instead.
i.e.
<MoveToActor questId="1" stepId="1" actorId="159575" isPortal="True" destinationWorldId="121214" x="169" y="718" z="-50" />
 
The lag and bugs with simplefollow are killing me :s. Hope rrrix will have the time to update this plugin.
