BG Buddy : are you serious guys?!

Dear all,
I want to arise your attention to a recent problem that I found by using BG buddy bot.
The version of BGBuddy that I use is the default from Honorbuddy, no editing.

My chars [feral druid and unholy dk] had both weird behaviours, totally liable to get a report for BOT using.

The behaviours are the following:

1. Isle of conquest:
  • At start the char doesn't cross the keep's gate to go out and starting the path to a location. After too long time, he takes the teleport instead 0_o
  • The bot cannot identify properly the location where to send the char to fight. It often sends the char to fight ALONE in location where there are ~10-15 enemies. Suicide!
  • At the final BOSS chamber, it often stacks on the stairs, without taking part to the fight: just standing there frozen

2.Deepwing Gorge/Arathi Basin; i put this 2 together because the weird things are totally similar:
  • At the beginning, the char starts a path to reach a flag's location. In front of the NEUTRAL flag it stops, without trying to conquer it!!! and noone else was around
  • same as point 2 for "Isle of conquest": suicide alone versus mass of enemies

In others BGs those situations are similar, and the weird behaviours are exactly the same. So my question is : what's going on? are the developers aware of this, and can be done anything to solve it? If we use BG buddy this way we will easly face a BAN or REPORT for this kind of things.

Any advises, suggestions or improvement that I can apply my self are welcome.

BGBuddy has always had these problems. Another Problem is I've Seen Battlegrounds where 10-15 players are all running the same bot and they just run around doing exactly the same thing in a pack and accomplish nothing. As for the flag issue there used to be a plugin floating around. You might also try a private Custom Routine such as Tuahna's CRs. My advice is to just filter out the most problematic BG's ingame from the included battlegrounds. You might also try making your bot que for specific Battlegrounds that are less issue heavy. I personally just run Tyrael and move around by hand I find this more fun personally. With so many people around it will never be even slightly safe to let your bot run around and not look... well bottish. Hope this helps a bit.
 
Yes BGBuddy is very "Broken" atm.
The Devs are working on a surprise, but that will take some weeks / months.
So wait and let yourself be surprised ;-)
 
Lost my main account due to bg buddy - was prepared but still not fun ^^ I'm rather curious how they going to improve bg buddy

or years, cos it's hard to not look like a bot when its 80% bots.
 
Yup, don't use it. I am pretty happy to hear the devs are at least working on something. If you really need to bot BGs there are a few 3rd party ones you can find through Google.

It wouldn't surprise me if the surprise was bgbuddy being discontinued, theres massive flaws with every single one of the bgs, more so with the flag games where it does quick circles as the game starts, jutting back and forth, Moving to biggest fight/friendly pack process is good in theory but it causes massive problems when the bg is just beginning.

Cr does play a part but i've noticed that some make it even worse, some of the big crs we have available make the bot not even stop at key points and just do sharp movements at places where people defend.

Its a big mess anyway and has been for years, it should of been looked at when it started going downhill, not when its at a point where even a half blind man could pick the botters out.
 
if the Premium CR they move alot better since the targeting is optimized for PVP

just sucks you have to pay more money but its worth it if you don't wanna get report or banned

Doesn't matter about paying more money. I purchased a private bgbot and got banned after one hour on an account that was never botted on before lol..
 
HonorBuddy Dev's are making a new BGBOT ... Just who knows when it will be done.. weeks? months?
