pickpocketing profiles - how much per day do you use it?

I thought it was safe, but still see bans going on, even on my own toons. (totally different bnet accounts)

I got them unbanned and plan to start using them again, but wisely.

How much time per day should i limit myself to? Certain areas? Anything else to help prevent banning?
 
i never got banned, and i never bot unnattended during gathering and mining sessions.
 
so you're thinking the only real way is for someone to report you, after not answering?

logmeout plugin should effectively cover your ass for that then :)
 
pickpocket is getting nailed with server side scripts. tbh you need to research thoroughly. there's a lot of information on a lot of sites. you'll only read the same nonsense here. stuff about not to bot unattended, or for too long etc.
 
Personally avoid PP profiles like the plague although I can't be certain I have a gut feeling that its even more risky than GB2 with regard to ban rates.

I got a lot of interest as I never tried pickpocketing nor profiles to go with them. Has anyone ran a profile for 2-4 hours at most and never had issue?

i did the same thing and got banned in 55th day. so, it's up to you. 12hr/day with 2 months or 6hr/day with 4 months but more chance to get reported.

probably they're auto-flagging after you pickpocket certain amount of mobs.

I guess it's doable, more risky but doable, the profit will be way higher if you do this but you can also reduce your accounts lifetime :)

The only thought I had when I issued my first ban, was because I reached the achievement for the 100k golds on monsters, managed to mind it and think that it was a bit paranoid, so only player reports can grab you down. Server-side scripts detects lcp so...
 
do you recommend trying to cover up the 100k/200k gold achievement by farming some old raids etc?

I guess its pretty hard to cover those achievement because you just cant have them in 5-7 days unless you play 24/7 until you die lol
 
Welp, both accounts were unbanned after 72 hours. 72 hours after that, banned again. totally different pp profile, mixed in with some gb2 profiles (most done in old zones)

They must have a script to auto ban, even if it's a false positive. i'm going to try appealing again...


Edit: already turned down the appeals. Time to level up another toon and just mine/herb :)
