I was just curious whats the state of currently getting banned? On one account on one pc simply for my own pleasure? I was just looking to get a witch doctor geared for the new expansion i've been hearing up people getting banned for just using the bot for like an hour and i've been hearing people use it 24/7 with no bans but whats the chances of just one game on one pc in a private game? Because most of these people on here are using like 3+ accounts on one pc with the same ip going 24/7.

So how are you guys so confident that it's very unlikely to get banned?

I was going to ask the same thing and seemingly that its 100% xp seems like a trap to me haha

Well, I was just playing around with my answer, but since the question was asked I guess I'll answer even though I dont really want to date myself so badly.. :(

#1 - Ive been botting/scripting multiplayer rpg games since before they had graphics.. 25-30years. They were DIAL-UP 300-900Baud rate BBS (ANSI/Terminal Text Based) (Mutants, MajorMUD) script was easy, N,E,S,W movements, BS (backstab), A (Attack), blablabla "You take 343 Damage" ... "Backstab successful for 650 damage" .. hahahaha

The Major BBS - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

8 D2 party accounts using the old D2jsp baal scripts

Warcraft

and # 2 - Blizz can't catch me. :)

Nobody knows your answer to your question srosh, No matter how many years botting exp they have. Yes there are saftey measures you can put in place,But as we all know botting is a risk to account closure some people are lucky others are not.

Really the question is do you feel lucky?

My prediction is there will be a ban wave on the ros launch just befor midnight, This will ensure a smoother launch and by then all the botters would of paid for ros. In which they know there gonna be buying again $$$$$$ < hope im wrong :) >

Didnt say the botting experience had anything to do with it. They asked why I was so confident. As long as ive been botting ive never been caught, so yeah, that would inspire some confidence and arrogance. :) And also I do hope you are wrong, about blizz doing a prelaunch ban. That would be really unethical of blizz to do that, but I dont think thats gonna happen.

Hey guys, i also have a little question about the current status of botting at D3.
I'm usually playin' wow and if im botting now at D3 did i get banned at wow, too?

But i dont think i get banned, cuz i just want to lvl some charakters for my own.

Best regards :)

Wow and D3 are 2 different thing. if they bann in D3 your account in WoW still find
but they will keep a close eye on you.

24/7 Since match 5th of this year.

Lol

Still goin strong.

Same ol' question, same ol' answer. If you don't want to get banned, don't bot. K?

They are waiting for the botters to buy ROS and then ban them. I reckon ban wave will be coming once the ROS hype settles.

Only people i see being banned are the ones who do 5+ games an hour of the same routine.

other then that, i don't see anyone being banned or in the past really with moderate bot usage//1-2 games an hour Long Big Profiles

24/7 since march 5th & on going.

Everyone keeps saying that with nothing to back it up.. (Not saying it didnt happen) But Ive never heard of it that happening in WoW or any other game, that they wait until they release an expansion then have a banwave.. But maybe me and my friends have just been lucky :D

In my opinion - People worry to much. Shrug, if it happens it happens. Like playing hardcore and dying.

Rule of Thumb.

If you don't want to lose it, don't bot on it.

I like that idea.

Also why would they put time and effort (=money) into catching botters. AH = gone, no real way of getting money out of D3, if you don't sell your account.

If I get caught, then I wont play D3 anymore, so they won't be getting any more money from me.

I don't think blizzard give too hoots about d3 and botting at the moment, my crusader has been botting since Ros went live, 24/7

Perhaps when ladders come around you will see banns for people using them in ladders.. But I have NFi hey..
I botted in wow for 7 years leveled over 1700 accounts and not a single ban ever..with the exception of one account when I was using a piroxbot, we all got banned lol it was a fun day in the office, bank account was a little low that week with a lot of refunds

Check it out. The game is basically a single player anymore. There is no AH, there is no way to make IRL money. The only reason to bot anymore, is to get super awesome equipment, so your bot can handle higher difficulty, and when you do play (yep, some of us actually play the game) you have good enough gear to hang out with your friends. Personally, I bot, because I like watching it do work. It's crazy how good they've gotten at these bots, and just interesting to see them work. Sure, at this time, in RoS, there is no reason to bot.

As I've said in WoW. The ONLY time Blizzard cares when you bot, is when you start affecting other players experiences. Such as flooding the AH, buying / selling gold, ect. I think the only time (and this is just backed up by just my ideas, and my experiences botting) they are going to care about botting in d3 again, is when they introduce the ladder system, because they aren't going to want to have to hear people complain that they can't compete with the bots on the ladder. That's really the only time I can see them giving a shit.

As to the OP's question, which has been asked, probably a million times. If you are too scared about losing your account, if it means that much to you, then DO NOT BOT. Sure many of us have gone a really long time without bans, but if I lost all my characters tomorrow, I'd be ok with it, I didn't like their names anyways. Plus, I'd just level more.

Rule of thumb for botting has always been, and will always be, don't bot if you don't want to lose it.
