Does anyone get banned for ONLY botting BGs?

No, atm only bots are playing bg's so thers noone to report you. Unless there will be actual player (but that doesnt happen) you are safe.

Yea, people do get banned for botting in bg's. If you cant stand heat, stay away from kitchen.

The risk of BG botting is extremly high i?d expect.
You are sooo easy to be spotted, so I would not bother wasting my time on BG botting if I were you.
I would rather go and farm heroics and convert Justice to Honor points if that is what you are after.
And Use Tyrael to do 2v2 to gain Conquest.

BG Botting is the highest ban rate. Its so obvious.

Some bad advice that bud alot more chance of getting caught botting hcs then bgs iv botted 3 toons in bgs 3 days per toon to full gear never had a ban yet.

a friend of mine get banned by using bgbuddy only. i must say he overdo it he plays roughly 7 days 24/7 and get banned on monday for 72 hours. and another friedn gets banned for 1 day farming also for 72 hours i think blizzard is a little aggressive at to moment
The question and the answers given never fail to amuse me.
For as many " I BG bot 24/7 for 5 years I never get banned blah blah blah" there are just as many "I Dl HB for the first time today clicked start and got banned blah blah blah"
The simple truth is what we do is against Blizzards TOS, you risk a ban every single time you start the Bot regardless of what you are having it do. It just takes one player report, one GM looking too closely, or any other of a hundred things and bye bye account.
If you need an example, I have a couple of accounts that I have only BG botted on for a little over a year, no warnings nothing. I have another a few months back that had been sitting for about a year, I decided to fire it up and PVP gear up my Rogue. Started the Bot, BG que popped I watched it initiate and then went to get a drink and came back to a Disconnect screen and a Ban email. Its luck of the draw my friends.
I do believe that some things are more prone than others though, and my own personal opinion is that GB2, and BG bot are very high on my no no list right now, but at the end of the day Don't bot what you can't lose. It's like speeding, the more you do it the more likely you will eventually get caught.

Will be finishing up my 3rd set of grievous gear tonight. Having a quality CR will help you out immensely. People dont tend to say much or take note when you are topping the heals or damage in a bg.
I been botting for years, leveled like 60-70 toons in BGS never been bann for that, I know botting is never safe but i gotta say based on my experience BG botting is probably as safe as it gets... get a good CC and dont que for BGs where you know they will get stuck or look dumb..
i honestly believe blizzard dont worry about bg bots at least 25% of the BG is Bots
ive lost like 12 accounts or so but its all been due to gathering
So yeah if you think you will be banned in a BG you might as well not bot at all cuz it gets no easier then that its down hill from there

Same here, proper CR and pvp addons really help you out immensely. What hours you bot afk on also matters hugely.
Personally, im beyond the point thinking i can get banned lol, really tried my best abusing the bot, left it bgbotting for well over 20 hours straight on more then 1 occasion.
Or going on vacation and leaving GB on.
ive also only had accounts banned from gatherbuddy which i used a lot less than i did bgbuddy. when using bg buddy gearing up almost all my characters, ~10 90s or so. Just know which bgs have bad pathing and really obvious camp/stuck points and try to avoid them.
