[Patch 1.0.6b] Which build is working well for you guys?

Hey guys,

I posted this question a while ago when I was still very new to the game and got a few responses. Now that I am more familiar to the game, I have been trying out different builds. Nothing seems to work better than my Ground Slam/Heavy Strike 2H Mace Marauder. At least for the purposes of botting, he can 70+ maps like they're cake. But that is on my main account, and I don't really feel like botting on my main account. So I would like to try out new builds (Marauder also got a bit boring).

I tried this build and I have to say I am fairly disappointed, even with all the gear investment I've done:

So my question is, what build are you guys currently using/liking for 1.0.6b?
 
spectral throw. only requires a 4L and it's simple for the bot. it's what i'll do for the new leagues since its so easy to get started.

ground slam/leap slam also works well but i personally feel like spectral throw is clearing a lot faster.

I also think lightning arrow would work well since it's amazing at clearing out packs of mobs but buying a good enough bow is prohibitively expensive in my experiences.

that one auto-discharge build (cant remember where it is) would be interesting, since the bot wouldnt need to do anything, cwdt would trigger discharge rapidly and the bot could just autoattack or something but I think that's also prohibitively expensive, so i'd stick with spectral throw.
 
I must say that I'm using the build you mentioned and its working quite flawlessly so far. (Im 77 right now)

Yeah it looks just amazing! How would it perform with EB tho? I'm not sure how that gameplay works but looks like it may need custom Combat Routine...
 
Nah, working perfectly with exile.cs with little modification.

Of course, a complete custom combat routine would be way better ! But as for now, it works perfectly for his purpose !
 
Spectral throw Scion build seems to be working fine for me, But I fear my gear is holding me back. I'm level 72 I need of a better weapon and gear =/
 
i have a problem i use incinerate and have the issue that he stays sometimes to far away to hit. so i look into the routine and change the best target distance or something like that from 40 to 25 but cant see any change after safing and restarting the bot... anyone has an idea?

What exactly did you change? Copy and paste the line you changed.

Change this line in Exile.cs found in "Routines\Exile\Exile.cs" in your ExileBuddy folder;

Code: 
Register("Incinerate", ret => BestTarget.Distance < 40);


You can decrease the value "40" to whatever you like.

exactly what i do... i set it to 25 but i dont see a diffrent...he is sometimes out of range

I have confirmed this. I set it to 25 and once in a while I see the character standing just out of range of a ranged enemy.
 
I am actually the one that requested the distanced be changed from the original 20 to 40.

The build I was using:

The problem occurs that if a mob is past that 20 distance, my character used to use melee attacks on it. This means that every ranged monster would not have incinerate used on it. I tried multiple distances and found that 40 worked the best for me and therefore recommended that they change that in the Exile.cs.

You should notice a difference of 40->25 distance casting, but it doesn't matter because the client moves you into range to cast. It almost sounds as if you're having desync issues or are modifying the wrong file or not reloading the bot. Double check those things first, or download a new beta install, then change the code before starting the bot and try again.

yes thats right....but the problem is not on every enemy only a few he is not hitting.... for example in ledge the woman who is throwing a stone at you face... this enemy i cant hit. and there is no difference to if i changed it from 40 to 20.... stillt cant reach this exact enemy... hope you understand what i mean.



I added two screenshots.... with newes beta version and changed exile routine and the result ingame the same as before out of range....at this time my char has only half of his life left because they are hitting me with stones and iam not reaching the enemy.
 
My main is a Spectral Throw Scion which was doing pretty great, I decided to start a 2nd bot since I felt comfortable and familiar enough with the game. I started a Facebreaker, and yes.. it does break faces! https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/445390

I would say they are both equally gear, but the Facebreaker does more runs in a less amount of time. They've both been running for about 10 hours on Library,

Facebreaker total runs: 74

Spectral Throw total runs: 51
