[PAID] [Mage] Portal - An Advanced Honorbuddy Mage Routine [PvE/PvP]

I have that setting enabled "manual cast detection", does this mean it will need to be pressed twice? I.E once to enable detection and once to blink? I think I've actually got the blink to queue with an external macro now though so using that, assuming it works as expected then I don't really need the detection but we shall see. Works fine in tests anyway. What it does is basically press alt+x (disable rotation) then wait 1000ms (for GCD and it lets current cast finish in most cases) then cast blink and then re-enables the rotation. Has the effect of if you are casting frostbolt for example it will blink when it has finished it's cast. Downside is a possible few MS of downtime but that will be gained back by not cancelling the casts in the first place hehe. Did the same for frozen orb too.

Yeah with manual cast you'd need to press it twice (or more..) but the first detects the pause is required, and sets the routine to wait, and the next time you'll be able to cast it.

Can always do a macro;

/stopcasting
/cast Blink

Would help do it faster etc.
 
Hi. I have been using this for about a year now, and it has been beautiful. But, today I was trying to use it, and when I choose the routine from the list, it pops up an error saying Portal Login. Unhandled exception. That's a separate error. It's not in the honorbuddy log.
 
so all fesh installs and nothing but problems in ALL my routines ...... demonic seems to work but portal and others are not

Have you tried a fresh HB install? Has anything changed on your PC (i.e. reformat)?

Nothing has changed. I have been using it nearly every day for the past 2 weeks, and out of no where, it's not working. Did a fresh install and everything. View attachment 118931

Hmm attachment isn't working.

Are other routines working fine?

It just started working out of no where. So I guess it's fine now. Not sure what it was. I did 2 fresh installs. I just started playing on my DK for a day, and then tried it again a little bit ago and it works. Thanks for the help!

- Changed auto focus logic.
- [Frost] Increased the view radius before allowing casting Frozen Orb.
- [Frost] Added minimum HP value to cast Frozen Orb.
- [Frost] Will no longer attempt to cast Frost Bolt (i.e. healing your pet) if you target yourself mid fight.
- Cast on Ground abilities should no longer be as perfectly placed.
- Added setting to duration to burst for (General tab).
 
On heroic Immerseus, he casts "Swelling Corruption". If you attack the boss during this part you get a DoT on you that stacks. More than 3 stacks of this and you're pretty much dead. I don't know the name of the DoT unfortunately. Now, if you put a DoT on him before he casts swelling corruption, it doesnt give you a stack. Only when you damage him during that time. Is there a way that you can code the routine to not apply a DoT on him during that part and stop the routine from attacking once the DoT on you gets to 3?

I know it seems like it may be complicated but figured I would ask. It's the only Boss on heroic difficulty that I seem to have a problem with DoT's. Thanks for looking into it if you do :)
 
Why doesn't this attack Neutral mobs? I am trying to grind on Timeless Isle, and this CR will not attack after Brodie's plugin targets them, but Singular works just fine.

Also, does this have H Thok stopcasting logic for his screech?

Hmm okay, I haven't done the fight so need more info.

The DoT - Can you find the name out?

What's the deal with it.. you can cast all spells when you have 2x stacks, but at 3x stacks stop all damage completely? The easy way around it is to just pause the routine/bot base... but yeah, it can be coded fairly easily too.

What's the different between free and paid version? Thanks!

Swelling Corruption - Spell - World of Warcraft = swelling corruption, if Immers has this buff then simply not dotting during its duration would be sufficient. We still need to be able to target him and DPS if required. Either set it so Immers. is only dotted when targeted or exclude the bombs from applying when he has the buff would be idea. This does remind me, on defensive stance we hero nuke nazgrim (currently have to dps manually). Would it be possible to add a key (similar to the burst dps/aoe/cooldowns keys) to ignore boss functions. I think this would be great on quite a few encounters when the instruction is to go against the "default" rules :). All it would need to do I guess is simply disable the bits of code that check for this kind of thing?

ps, my Pulling delay issue was FPS related, turned gfx settings down and framelock down a tad and it's great now, which explains why it only happened in raid and not on testing :)

Correct you are with LB, would also be beneficial to apply the same logic to frost orb during that particular time frame.

It's not that we can't dps the boss, it is more to the point that if you get more than 3 stacks of the DoT, you are pretty much a dead man. After those 3 stacks fall off, which it only last a few seconds, you can continue to dps the boss, but applying a LB to the boss or using frost orb would give you more than 3 stacks rather quickly. So yes, dps all you want, until you have 3 stacks. Once 3 stacks is reached, you should be targeting the adds that come out anyways. It's better safe than sorry to code it so that it doesn't apply LB or frost bomb to the boss when he has the buff.

Just updated Tyrael and I'm confused with the new features. Which one should I use: HardLock, SoftLock or both? I also have the Minify plugin, still worth using it?
 
Frozen Orb does not seem to work anymore after latest patch, tried in raid and on dummies.

Confirmed, tried all settings it will simply not cast!

Also my synapse springs get stuck in an infinate "is not ready loop" and it wouldnt cast anything just spammed trying to cast it, it did free up eventually but only after 1min of no dps :P probably just one of those things though, seemed ok after but the orb is def broken!
 
Will fix frozen orb.

Unable to login issues -> server crashed. Been restarted, all back up now.

if this does get implemented however it does need to have a 10 vs 25 check box on it. as in 25 man H there are enough people and enough healers that it doesnt really matter how many stacks you get. in 10 man it does as it is a lot harder of a fight for 10s


as always if you have any questions about how to manage particular boss mechanics with this routine please let me know, i am more than happy to assist as i use this routine when i am raiding in my 25H guild when i am feeling lazy ( which is quite often :)
