At first i was totally bummed about losing my favorite dps spec! I dont wanna tank on this toon i have others for that! But i have found that actually it turned out quite nice as its a good combo for BG's and gathering.... I chose blood because although you lose some dps you gain a lot of survival and i designed it at lvl 71 and used it in sholozar then as well, however, at that lvl it was only effective against single mobs. So its great for leveling!

BAR 3 Settings:

Key 1 = Mount Macro
Mount

(If farming Northrend or Outlands you can add the /use Mote...... or /use Crystallized..... and then /cast "mount name" but its not necessary)

Key 2 = Zapthrottle (If Engineering)

Key 3 = Food

Key 4 = empty

Key 5 = Blood Presence (i like Blood but Unholy can be useful... BTW this is in case it gets taken off at rez. It has happened to me before)

Key 6 = Pre-Fight Macro

/cast Vampiric Blood
/cast Bone Shield
/start attack

Key 7 =
/castsequence reset=combat Blood Fury (if orc, or any other racial/trinket), Icebound Fortitude, Rune Strike, Rune Strike, Rune Strike

(Now what this does is give you extra attack power to burn em down, if that fails then you pop icebound and take way less damage to help heal, then you burn some extra rune power you will surely have with a move you wouldnt use anywhere else!)

For you non 85 use this! There is more sequence to work with and more survivability!
Key 8 = In-Fight Macro

(P.S. the reason i have it setup this way is to maximize use of all runes, with the new empower rune weapon ability you can blow all of your runes for max dps/healing and then start over and hopefully nothing should be left standing!)

For those who are 85 here is a better macro instead!

Key 0 = Free for you to use.... Couldnt really find anything useful here (I put a trinket, gives me xtra AP every couple fights)

Well there ya go hope you enjoy! (Yes i know there is code text but i dont like it i think its messy... Deal with it :p) It seems to work good for me and pretty much keeps me alive in 95% of my encounters (unless he pulls like 4 mobs lol).

I like this build alot, the only thing I would do is add
/raise dead
/death grip
into start attack, normally helps you overcome everything.

Its funny you say that because i tried to add Death Grip into the start macro but i could only get it to execute 2 commands in no matter what order i put them in. I did not try to add raise dead tho! I thought about fiiting it in somewhere but couldnt find a decent spot and with my start macro complication that threw that idea out! If you can tell me if i am doing something wrong to prevent this please let me know so i can change it and i will definately add the DG and RD!
 
I wanted more survivability vs. DPS, so I went with this build. Thank you so much for putting this together. I hope it works as well as I think it will. This, coupled with stuff bought off the AH, has got my hopes high.

Any idea where I can put Dancing Rune Weapon cast ? :) Trying to put on 6, 7, 8 with other macors but doesnt work and dont want to put it on 8 with castsequence becasue it will block for 1.5min this macro when DRW is on CD :/
 
Great configuration. Using this on my DK at the moment - works much better than Frost and Unholy, thanks.

This seems like the way to go, it is running alot smoother than unholy at lvl80 in Hyjal.
 
So which macro do we use if we're 85?

You say to use the last one if you're 85 but it says 80 right next to it.

Edited. Had to update to the Cata 85 level and missed that one sneaky 80 hiding in there...... anyways all better :)!

So you dont use Unholy presence while mounted for mount speed etc? .. ? Anyone able to make it change to unholy Presence when mounting or something likely?
 
I dont think unholy increases mounted speed, which is why people get pale horse talent.
 
Stupid Q

Maybe a stupid question, but I've been struggling with this,
You start your cycle with Outbreak, which has a longer cooldown than a avarage attack.

With castsequence, it will do it once, but when it comes back to the point he needs to do it again, it's on cooldown and doesn't continue the cycle,

Am I stupid, or am I doing something wrong?

I'd like to hear from ya,

Nope you prove a good point! I changed the 85 version to reflect your thoughts! However since the non 85 sequence is so much longer i left that alone. BUT...... if anyone is using this pre-85 and is having problems with it not reseting and stopping the macro please let me know i can adjust the rotation to use empower rune weapon earlier and blow all runes at start.

Giving this a try for a little while now, working pretty well, thanks for the help!
 
Updated for 4.0.6 finally, taking into account the loss in chance for a free blood boil, as well as a few other minor changes to the rotation to account for missing space and cooldowns. Should work good but havent had a chance to fully test it through yet. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
