Is WoW Botting even worth it anymore? - I'm new

Hello, I've been lurking here for a while now and loved the old posts siting 50k per day per bot back in the day and MORE.

But now I see even 20k per day per bot is only average or high end.

Plus ban rates being higher now?

I was wondering is it worth it anymore? My goals being minimum of $500 or so per bot per month running as many hours as necessary while avoiding bans (although I don't care if I profit enough after expansion buying costs etc)


Or should I switch to another game? Is botting worthwhile in any game now?
 
the best profile i could find this week was doing 1200 g/h so it needs 18 straight hours per day to get 20k/day. i even bought some private profiles but i think the limit is now around 1500gph. i couldn't find anything doing more lol.

i'm not sure 20k/day is possible without getting banned in a week.
 
This question is subjective and relative to each individual rather than an encompassing whole.
It is only logical that Blizzard will continue to fight, and fight harder, to rid itself of things it considers in direct violation of its terms of service.

That all said ... do I think it is worth it? Yep.

Hm, so the limiting factor for bans is the hours per day? How many hours is "safe" then? I don't mind starting up a new bot every MONTH but every WEEK might cut into expansion/account/SOR buying budgets.

Also, is running two or three of these bots considered "safe" or under the radar for bans according to my needs?

If you look at "most" of the bans reports they were using gatherbuddy unattended at some point or another. Take this information however you want, player reports will get you banned. Period.
 
Take this is a pinch of salt as its just my personal opinion.

Botting for pleasure and keeping up with others is still worth it.
Botting for money isn't really worth it, you would be better off putting your time and effort into other money making ventures.
 
well, there is a reason there exist numerous gold selling sites that are mainly supplied by big bot farms. All links in the chain are making money
 
IMO.. It all depends on how you use to the bot. I don't just bot fresh toons and only use them as mules; I'll play them by hand personally on and off, the only way I'd see "Botting" be profiting is by using multiple accounts to bot on. I do believe that HB is the longest running bot to date, so there's tons of profiles surfacing throughout the net, tons of people use it for different reasons. I literally just finished a mage from 1-58 in 1day 17hrs.. That was also mixing in bg's playing by hand. Plus its towards the end of an expansion, so there's nothing left to do besides level alts.
 
Yet again, trial and error. I'm making 20k+ per 85 daily. That's $10 USD per account, per day (if I sell to the gold to the Chinese). Currently botting 7 85's, with another 5 ready to start leveling.

I'd defo say an extra $50+ USD a day is "worth it".

Other ventures? Personally I've been trying to make extra money online for ~2 years now. I've done survery sites, PPC, PPD, PPV, SEO, Content locked, etc - the list goes on. However NONE of these methods have made me anything worth mentioning. Yet botting WoW and D3 have made me $2000+ in no time compared to other methods I've tried?
 
before those chinese guys discovered fifa ultimate team you could make some big money there with an autobuyer

Nobody is going to give you anything with a profile picture like that. Profiles may not be the direct line to the golden country though, expand and conquer.

Said it over and over - trial and fucking error. Making 20k a day on 85's is NOTHING when you can farm up 10k epics..

I'm not even talking to you, but the person I quoted. The Daft Punk robot is an unacceptable creation.
 
You shoulden't bot to make money since most of the people doing that are chinese and looking at their wages you're probably not going to be happy with that.
